 The Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for the efficient, hygienic processing of all facility laundry at a world‑class Dexterra camp facility. This includes operating commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and store linens and uniforms used across the site.
 
 
 Laundry processed in this role includes:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, blankets)
 </li>
 <li>
 Towels and washcloths
 </li>
 <li>
 Staff and site uniforms
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Laundry Room Attendant plays a critical role in supporting housekeeping operations and ensuring clean, ready‑to‑use linens are consistently available.
 
 
 This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit‑to‑work testing as a condition of employment.
 
 
 
 YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Collecting, sorting, and processing laundry from across the facility
 </li>
 <li>
 Operating commercial washers and dryers according to established procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Washing, drying, folding, and organizing:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bed linens
 </li>
 <li>
 Towels and washcloths
 </li>
 <li>
 Uniforms
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Ensuring proper laundry separation to prevent cross‑contamination
 </li>
 <li>
 Folding and storing clean laundry in designated storage areas
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintaining accurate counts and tracking of linens as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Cleaning lint traps, machines, and laundry work areas regularly
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry room
 </li>
 <li>
 Reporting equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs to supervision
 </li>
 <li>
 Following all safety procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Assisting housekeeping teams with linen distribution as required
 </li>
 </ul>
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience operating commercial laundry equipment is an asset
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of proper laundry handling, hygiene, and safety practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong attention to detail and organization
 </li>
 <li>
 Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35&ndash;50 pounds
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to follow all safety and infection‑control procedures

 WHAT&rsquo;S THE JOB?
 
 
 
 The kitchen helper is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes.
 
 
 
 Your work will include:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining areas
 </li>
 <li>
 Clean kitchen and dining room floors and tables
 </li>
 <li>
 Clean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Wash pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep cleaning as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Stock and rotate dining room amenities along with desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condiments
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventory
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 You have a minimum 6 months&rsquo; kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge setting
 </li>
 <li>
 You are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 You have a food safety or HACCP certification is an asset.
 </li>
 <li>
 You are able to prioritize multiple demands and organize a work schedule
 
 
 </li>

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 Minimum 2 years' cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple priorities, and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in a unionized environment, ability to work with Collective Agreement and provide guidelines and execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexible start and end times as needed, weekend and statutory holiday work are required.
 </li>
 <li>
 A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
