This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure and clarity to financial systems and ensuring that accounting processes run smoothly.The Senior Accountant will oversee the company&rsquo;s accounting functions and play a key role in strengthening financial processes as the company continues its transition to QuickBooks Online. You&rsquo;ll operate as DHD&rsquo;s primary in-house accounting professional &mdash; with direct access to leadership and genuine ownership of the function.The role begins hybrid in Chicago while systems and processes are stabilized, with a planned transition to fully remote within 3&ndash;6 months once accounting operations are running smoothly.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and maintain the company&rsquo;s accounting records in QuickBooks Online</li><li>Oversee client invoicing and revenue tracking</li><li>Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Manage accounts payable and vendor payments</li><li>Track and support accounts receivable and collections</li><li>Coordinate payroll with Paychex</li><li>Assist with monthly close and financial reporting</li><li>Support the continued transition to QuickBooks Online</li><li>Maintain documentation and improve internal accounting processes</li><li>Manage and maintain the company&rsquo;s accounting records and daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Medical Insurance &mdash; DHD covers 70% of employee premiums and 65% for spouse and family coverage</li><li>Life and Disability Insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off &mdash; 13 days annually</li><li>Retirement Savings Plan with employer match (DHD matches 50 cents on the dollar up to a qualifying contribution)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of accounting experience</li><li>Be located and allowed to work in the United States</li><li>Strong experience with QuickBooks Online</li><li>Experience with full-cycle accounting</li><li>Comfortable working as a department of one with high autonomy</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Experience helping companies transition or clean up accounting systems (particularly QuickBooks Online) is strongly preferred</li><li>Accounting degree or CPA is helpful but not required</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have extensive experience with Quickbooks Online</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>accounting degree or CPA license (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Chicago, IL 60601 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Chicago, IL 60601 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chicago, IL 60601
