Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a key member of the engineering organization, you will drive the design and implementation of intuitive, performant, and scalable web applications. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver seamless user experiences across DigiCert's enterprise platforms. 


What you will do
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into elegant and responsive user interfaces.</li>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, Next.js, or similar).</li>
<li>Ensure UI components are reusable, performant, and accessible across different products and environments.</li>
<li>Build and maintain design systems and shared component libraries to ensure consistency across platforms.</li>
<li>Implement best practices in state management, routing, testing, and build optimization.</li>
<li>Partner with backend teams to define and consume RESTful or GraphQL APIs.</li>
<li>Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance frontend performance and reliability.</li>
<li>Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and trends to continuously improve development processes.</li></ul> 


What you will have
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in modern frontend development for enterprise or SaaS products.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.</li>
<li>Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, or similar.</li>
<li>Familiarity with UI testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.</li>
<li>Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.</li>
<li>Experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.</li>
<li>Solid grasp of software design principles, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.</li>
<li>Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.</li>
<li>Extensive experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and modern DevOps workflows.</li></ul> 


Nice to have
<ul>
<li>Experience with micro-frontend architectures, module federation, or design system management tools (Storybook, Figma integration).</li>
<li>Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, Sentry).</li>
<li>Experience building secure and compliant frontend applications in enterprise environments.</li>
<li>Exposure to AI-powered UI/UX, data visualization frameworks, or interactive dashboards.</li></ul>

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend services that power DigiCert's next-generation trust and identity platforms.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and UX teams to deliver high-quality software that delights our customers and meets enterprise-class performance, reliability, and security standards. 


What you will do
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and architects to understand project requirements and technical specifications</li>
<li>Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and performance benchmarks</li>
<li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, in accordance with coding standards and best practices</li>
<li>Conduct code reviews to increase code quality, consistency, and alignment with the product design and architecture</li>
<li>Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects and provide timely solutions to customer issues</li>
<li>Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development processes and tools</li>
<li>Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive technical innovation within the team</li></ul> 


What you will have
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in backend software development.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA.</li>
<li>Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful web services.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of both relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases.</li>
<li>Extensive experience working with cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or other major cloud platforms, with proficiency in deploying and managing distributed systems and services.</li>
<li>Experience building cloud-native applications and deploying services in Kubernetes using Docker containers.</li>
<li>Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies.</li>
<li>Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Passion for code quality, unit testing, and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Gradle, Maven, or jOOQ is a plus.</li></ul>
