Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant at our San Diego, CA or Troy, MI location who will support multiple attorneys in the areas of Business Restructuring and Commercial Litigation. We are willing to train the right person for the position who meets the requirements listed below.
 
Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Review, comprehend and implement Federal and Local Rules of Court</li>
<li>Organize and maintain electronic documents and files in a timely manner</li>
<li>Prepare template shell documents, revise and finalize with particular attention to formatting and proofreading of documents</li>
<li>Online e-filing of Court and other documents</li>
<li>Expense reimbursement processing</li>
<li>Travel arrangements and other administrative support, providing backup as needed</li>
<li>Open new files, request conflict of interest checks and manage client engagement</li>
<li>Track deadlines, maintain and monitor calendaring system for attorneys</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>Determined work ethic and commitment</li>
<li>Intermediate to advanced-level use of Microsoft Office Suite software and .pdf editing software; advanced level use of Microsoft Word Including Table of Contents and Authorities</li>
<li>Intermediate to advanced-level use of Microsoft Office Suite software and .pdf editing software</li>
<li>Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail</li>
<li>Possess strong organizational and time management skills</li>
<li>Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Self-directed, high energy, and have advanced computer skills.</li>
<li>Solid work history providing administrative support, and effectively reporting to multiple attorneys/supervisors</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively</li>
<li>Knowledge of the bankruptcy process preferred</li>
<li>Understanding of federal, state and local rules of civil procedure preferred</li>
<li>Experience with Bestcase & QuickBooks preferred</li>
<li>Experience drafting pleadings; Drafting & filing proof of claims preferred</li>
<li>Exposure to Litigation law in California for 3 years or more preferred</li>
<li>Experience with E-filing (federal and state) preferred</li>
<li>Experience using document management systems (iManage, a plus)</li>

Dinsmore is seeking a Practice Support Specialist at our Lexington, KY location who will support multiple attorneys in the litigation group.
 
Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Assist with entry of attorneys’ time</li>
<li>Manage docketing events, deadlines, scheduling orders, meetings and conference calls</li>
<li>Assist with client intake</li>
<li>Open and maintain client files</li>
<li>Provide clerical support to attorneys, paralegals and legal administrative assistants including backup overflow assistance</li>
<li>Assist with monthly billing</li>
<li>Project work, as assigned</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail</li>
<li>Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including electronic document management systems</li>
<li>Law firm and/or litigation experience, a plus</li>
<li>Experience using attorney timekeeping and document management systems a plus</li>
<li>Familiarity with basic online resources</li>
<li>Possess strong organizational and time management skills</li>
<li>Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker</li>
<li>Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment</li>
