Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Cincinnati, OH location who will support multiple attorneys in the Labor & Employment practice groups. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Labor & Employment attorneys.
 
Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys, and staff</li>
<li>Provide typical administrative support functions including knowledge of specialized terminology relevant to the practice area</li>
<li>Manage attorney/paralegal communications</li>
<li>Prepare and process documents – Multiple electronic filings throughout Ohio Courts</li>
<li>Maintain schedules and calendars of multiple attorneys/paralegals</li>
<li>Open all team files</li>
<li>Data entry and maintenance with client systems</li>
<li>Prepare reinstatement/payoff letters</li>
<li>Follow up on return of filings</li>
<li>Prepare overnight packages</li>
<li>Communicate with clients via telephone and websites as needed</li>
<li>Maintain court dockets; preparing Pleadings, Motions, Affidavits, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and current information in case management system</li>
<li>Meet client deadlines and adapt to industry changes</li>
<li>Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare and format memoranda, correspondence, legal advertisements, deeds, assignments, and various other legal documents</li>
<li>Ensure the effective and timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries, and facsimiles</li>
<li>Field calls from borrowers, clients, and other outside parties in a courteous and effective manner</li>
<li>Ensure timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence</li>
<li>Develop and maintain collegial relationships with business associates and clients</li>
<li>Review title reports and recorded documents</li>
<li>Proofread legal documents as required</li>
<li>Provide support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere</li>
<li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>5+ years of Legal Administrative Assistant experience</li>
<li>Good understanding of the legal process surrounding labor & employment preferred</li>
<li>Excellent technical and communication skills</li>
<li>Attention to detail with top notch proofreading skills</li>
<li>Proven success as a positive team player as well as an independent worker</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously</li>
<li>Highly motivated professional who is enthusiastic about the opportunity of learning the labor & employment practice area</li>
