 Data Engineer sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, Colorado.
 
 
 Participate in the design and architecture of software solutions with a focus on ETL, data management, and server infrastructure. Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to support data discovery, analysis, and reporting. Leverage SQL and Python to ensure accurate data staging and transformation processes that align with business requirements. Design and implement data staging strategies to prepare data for downstream analytical and reporting workflows. Conduct thorough data discovery to identify and address data quality issues, ensuring that the data is accurate, complete, and accessible for business needs. Perform comprehensive data discovery and profiling to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and accessibility to meet business needs. Manage and maintain database servers and related infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability. Proactively discover and implement systemic improvements to optimize data pipelines, enhance platform stability, and drive efficiency across workflows. Partner with our visualization and optimization teams to create effective solutions.
 
 
 
 Skills, Experience And Requirements
 
 
 
 Requires Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a closely related field plus 2 years of database development experience in job offered or similar roles. Also requires 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

 AWS Athena, Hive, AWS S3, and Snowflake

 Job Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 This is a position in the Command Center Organization within In Home Services. The Command Center is an organization consisting of five different strategic teams, all focused on optimizing efficiency in the field. This team also analyzes forecasts and plans the reverse/forward logistics flow for Dish equipment throughout DISH&rsquo;s manufacturing and distribution sites as part of the overall Dish supply chain process. This role will have the opportunity to interact with internal and external customers across the country. Accuracy, timeliness and effective communication are expectations for success in the Command Center.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Analyze data and provide actionable insights using SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Microsoft/Google Suite
 </li>
 <li>
 Solve problems and meet goals with advanced statistical techniques and innovative approaches
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop recommendations for continuous improvement for field management, executives, and partners
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct short and long term data analyses to enhance customer experience and reduce costs
 </li>
 <li>
 Support ad-hoc projects to drive cost savings, improve quality, and increase efficiency
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and maintain forecasting and resource/headcount planning models supporting budgeting and variance analysis
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead and facilitate forecasting meetings to align stakeholders and leadership on realistic and accurate operational plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Distribution teams to develop dashboards and track KPIs
 </li>
 <li>
 Assess business operations and analyze upstream changes' impacts on logistics and operations
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide reports and updates to executives and partners across sites

 Skills, Experience And Requirements
 
 
 
 
 Education and Experience:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, business analytics)
 </li>
 <li>
 0-2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience manipulating large datasets in a business environment required
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience translating data to actionable insights required
 </li>
 <li>
 Tableau experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 SQL/R/Python experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior experience in Supply Chain is a plus
