The Office of Social Emotional Academic Development works with the Chancellor to ensure coherence in the educational experience for our students, families, and schools. Our goal is to initiate change and lead DC Public Schools into the highest performing school district in the nation.
</p><p><b>Division of SEAD Strategy
</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Athletics:</b> The Department of Athletics ensures all DCPS students have access to comprehensive and inclusive interscholastic athletics programming designed to increase student satisfaction, improve physical fitness, keep students engaged in school, develop leadership qualities, and provide additional outlets for students to express their unique talents.
</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Career and Technical Education:</b> Career Education programs provide the academic, technical, and employability skills necessary to succeed in college, careers and to become lifelong learners. This includes JROTC programming.
</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Postsecondary Success Programs (PSP):</b> PSP includes programming that prepares students for college and career, including Dual Enrollment, AP/IB, SAT/PSAT, School Counseling and Postsecondary Planning, Work-based Learning Opportunities, and Navigator supports.
</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Graduation Success Initiatives (GSI):</b> GSI consists of programming designed to keep students on track academically and connected to their school communities. This includes work on Adjusted Cohort Graduation Rate, New Heights programs, OSTP, and Extended Learning programs such as summer school and academic recovery.</p>
</li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Grade Level Academies:</b> Sixth and Ninth Grade Academies in DCPS provide rich, responsive, and well-rounded educational experiences for students during key transition years to promote success.</p>
</li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Scheduling, Transcripts, and Academic Records Support (STARS):</b> STARS is responsible for supporting and monitoring DCPS schools in four areas: scheduling, grading, graduation, and the development and distribution of accurate student records.
</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Data, Strategy, and Operations (DSO): </b>DSO supports the division through the management of budgets, data reporting and analysis, and special projects that support the division&rsquo;s key priorities in alignment with the strategic plan including policies and associated guidance.</p><br>
</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Schools and Special Projects Division</b></p>
<ul><li><p><b>Cluster Support Model (CSM):</b> Under the CSM, Central Services&rsquo; coaching and support for schools across ten content areas are streamlined under the guidance and direction of each Cluster Instructional Superintendent. Cluster Support Team (CST) members provide direct services, coaching, and professional learning to schools in alignment with the schools&rsquo; strengths and needs and district priorities.
</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Special Projects: </b>SEAD Special Projects works to improve organizational effectiveness across all SEAD offices and divisions. The team supports collaboration across the agency by leading cross-functional projects that promote high-quality programming and services for schools and students.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p>The Manager, SEAD Budget and Strategy is responsible for overseeing the budget for the Office of SEAD Strategy. This includes leading the budget planning, tracking, procurement, and implementation of all related programs. Working alongside program owners and the Director of Data, Strategy, and Operations, this role will support the development of budget strategy and long-term financial planning to sustain high-quality programming. The role ensures program logistical needs are met, leads partnership agreements, manages program inventory, and creates systems to ensure teachers and students have access to the equipment, materials, and services they need to achieve successful learning outcomes.</p>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p><i>

Manages all funding streams related to the Office of SEAD Strategy by supporting in the tracking and executing of spend plans, entering requisitions, submitting reprogramming, and preparing grant agreements.
</p></li><li><p>Leads procurement efforts by ensuring that POs are received by the vendors and by tracking the delivery of goods and completion of services.</p>
</li><li><p>
Serves as a point of contact for the procurement process for contracts larger than $100,000 by identifying and creating necessary specifications, statements of work, or market surveys as a function of the procurement process.</p>
</li><li><p>
Provides regular updates to the SEAD Strategy Directors on related budgets, including spend analysis, financial data reporting, and other analyses to inform decision making.</p>
</li><li><p>
Provides technical support to program teams as they navigate challenges related to procurement and spend down.</p>
</li><li><p>
Manages and delegates budget-related asks from key DCPS stakeholders.</p>
</li><li><p>
Develops trusted relationships with program owners and deep understanding of programs initiatives in order to support the development of goal-aligned spend plans that draw from local, private, and federal funding sources.</p>
</li><li><p>
Identifies and systematizes successful operational and logistics methods across the division; and develops and strengthens resources for methodology evaluation and improvement.</p>
</li><li><p>
Ensures the division spending is in compliance with all federal, local, and organizational guidance related to finance and budget.</p>
</li><li><p>
Manages budget specialists that oversee the day-to-day manage of team budgets and spending.</p>
</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree and four to six years of related work experience.</li><li>
Master's degree preferred.</li><li>
Previous exposure to or experience in the education sector a plus.</li><li>
Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets across multiple funding sources and initiatives.</li><li>
Experience with District of Columbia procurement regulations and policies preferred.</li><li>
Experience with PASS preferred.</li><li>
Strategic, data-driven problem solver with advanced proficiency in Excel.</li><li>
Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage up and laterally and clearly provide and document next steps.</li><li>

The mission of the Office of Data and Technology is to support schools and the district as a whole to use technology and data effectively to accelerate student achievement. The Office includes the following teams:</p>
<ul><li><p>The<b> Information Technology</b> team provides DCPS students and staff in every school with the infrastructure, systems, and support to use technology effectively to accelerate student achievement.</p>
</li></ul><ul><li><p>The <b>Data</b> team ensures stakeholders at all levels of the organization have access to accurate, timely, and relevant data, conducting analysis and research, and building school-based capacity to use data tools to inform planning and decision-making.</p>
</li></ul><ul><li><p>The <b>Enterprise Application</b> team leads the district&rsquo;s efforts to ensure all DCPS students and staff, in every school, have application technology and systems needed to be successful.</p>
</li></ul><p></p><p>The<b> Information Technology </b>team provides DCPS students and staff in every school with the infrastructure, systems, and support to use technology effectively to accelerate student achievement.</p>
<p>
The Analyst, IT Asset Administration, is responsible for supporting the enhancement of technology, including deployment support, retrieval, and IT asset management strategy. The analyst will interface with DCPS staff as an IT liaison to support the deployment and usage of devices as well as maintain the IT asset tracking system and asset inventory. The analyst will work alongside the IT Asset Administration team to support the individual needs of schools as well as the needs of all offices and departments deployed at DCPS Central Office. IT Asset Analysts provide support through established processes as well as individual project work that relies on their ability to properly review inventory data and coordinate tasks based on it.</p><p>
The Analyst, IT Asset Administration will report to the Manager, IT Asset Administration.</p><p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p><i>

Supports the daily and long-term strategic management of technology-related hardware and software assets within DCPS.</li><li>
Responds to requests from schools and central office departments for IT Asset needs or inquiries via tickets, emails, or chat.</li><li>
Regularly engages with school Technical POCs to review asset tracking data, customer service satisfaction, issue resolution, as well as partnering with schools to coordinate annual cyclical tasks and advance district-wide initiatives.</li><li>
Provides training and support to technology controllers with logistics of the day-to-day asset management actively creates/updates asset management processes, and procedures, as well as training material, such as guides, how-to videos, and knowledgebase articles.</li><li>
Provides face-to-face and webinar asset management and syst training to end-users and property controllers at multiple locations.</li><li>
Responsible for monitoring, and recording hardware assets and/or software licenses to ensure compliance with internal asset management policies and vendor contracts.</li><li>
Performs quality control reviews of asset management records and systems.</li><li>
Assists with warranty and out-of-warranty repairs of all technology assets, including computers, interactive boards, computer charging carts, and other technology used in District.</li><li>
Responsible for reporting and escalation of issues to leadership in a timely and consistent manner.</li><li>
Coordinates asset loss prevention and recovery activities including reporting of loss/theft and connecting with school and department technology controller to coordinate proper documentation of loss. Initiates device recovery procedures through endpoint management platforms.</li><li>
Assists with on-site surveys of school spaces for technology installations and review of classroom technology implementation (requires transportation).</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and one year of experience OR two years of experience (no degree requirement).</li><li>
Previous exposure to or experience in the education sector a plus.</li><li>
Advanced Excel experience preferred.
</li><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).
</li><li>Must be able to clearly and concisely describe problems or processes in a well-organized format with excellent oral and written communication skills; and demonstrated ability in coordinating cross-functional resources.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues; demonstrates interest in technology and business, and has excellent interpersonal skills; and has superior organizational, time, and project management skills in managing overlapping priorities.
</li><li>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>
Physical requirements &ndash; lifting and/or carrying 5-25 lbs. or more and the pushing and pulling of carts as required.
