What part will you play?
 The Sales Engineer (SE) will collaborate with Account Executives and provide the
 technical expertise during the pre-sales process for opportunity types such as Request
 for Proposal (RFP), Design-Build, and Design Consulting. The SE will be responsible
 for completion of all technical deliverables required for each opportunity including, but
 not limited to, complete bill of materials with pricing, labor estimate, and scope of
 work. The SE will be expected to accompany Account Executives to in-person and
 virtual Customer meetings as needed.
 
For Design-Build and Design Consulting opportunities, the SE will collaborate with
 Account Executives to determine and understand our Customers existing workflows,
 business/operational needs, and technology/collaboration strategy in order to design
 solutions that best meet their functional requirements now and into the foreseeable
 future with focus on end user experience.
 
What will you be doing?
 
<ul>
<li>Establish and maintain positive and effective lines of communication with</li>
<li>Account Executives and our Customers.</li>
<li>Attend in-person and/or virtual discovery meetings to identify our Customers</li>
<li>technology and business requirements.</li>
<li>Attend site surveys when necessary to obtain design space details.</li>
<li>Ability to conceptualize, define, and explain our technology solutions to</li>
<li>Customers with varying levels of technical expertise.</li>
<li>Validate solutions for standard RFP/RFQ and Consultant Design-Bid-Build</li>
<li>opportunities.</li>
<li>Review RFPs in detail and identify areas of concerns for review by Account</li>
<li>Executive or Director of Sales Engineering.</li>
<li>Submit technical RFIs during bid process as needed.</li>
<li>Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical documentation related to</li>
<li>infrastructure and equipment installation requirements.</li>
<li>Provide consistent quality deliverables to the Account Executives to be included</li>
<li>in proposals:</li>
<li>Detailed Equipment Bill of Materials with Pricing</li>
<li>Miscellaneous Materials Estimate</li>
<li>Detailed Labor Estimate</li>
<li>Technical Scope of Work/Bid Response/Functional Summary (as applicable)</li>
<li>Provide plan markups in Bluebeam and/or CAD to specify/coordinate</li>
<li>infrastructure requirements for Architect/Customer and for internal handoff to</li>
<li>Design Engineer after contract award.</li>
<li>Participate in internal kick-off meetings with the assigned Project Team after</li>
<li>contract award and provide knowledge transfer to assigned Design Engineer.</li>
<li>Maintain communication with Design Engineer and review Drawing Package</li>
<li>submittals prior to system implementation to ensure design intent is met and</li>
<li>discuss issues/changes/etc.</li>
<li>Participate in vendor product demonstrations/trainings in local office and/or</li>
<li>remotely when hosted in other territory office locations.</li>
<li>Maintain relationship with manufacturer representatives and vendor partners.</li>
</ul>
Complexity: 
The SE will receive new Engineering Support Request assignments through the Sales
 Support Group which consists of non-technical and technical personnel that will work as
 a team to support the Account Executives on larger opportunities. For multi-million[1]dollar opportunities, an additional SE or Subject Matter Expert (SME) may be requested
 to join the team in order to formalize a complete and thorough bid response. The SE will
 also maintain communication with Technical Operations to ensure specified equipment
 and solutions designed are supported.
 
Decision Making Authority: 
The SE is responsible for specifying the equipment and services required for a complete
 solution. The SE is encouraged to recommend strategies for differentiating Diversified
 from competition in competitive situations. Technical reviews by management will occur
 on a case-by-case basis and almost always for high profile and/or multi-million-dollar
 opportunities.
 
Physical Working Environment: 
Work will be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on
 the location of SE. Will be required to attend in-person Customer meetings and perform
 site surveys on occasion.
 
What do we require from you?
 
Education/Certifications: 
<ul>
<li>AVIXA CTS-D Certification</li>
<li>Without CTS-D, expectation will be to pass certification exam within 6</li>
<li>months of hire</li>
<li>Certifications or training with at least one DSP platform (Biamp, QSC, etc.)</li>
<li>Certifications or training with at least one control platform (Crestron, Extron,</li>
<li>AMX, etc.)</li>
<li>Certifications or training with at least one AV over IP platform (Crestron, Evertz,</li>
<li>AMX, etc.)</li>
<li>Certifications or training with at least one collaboration platform (Zoom, Webex,</li>

Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills: 
<ul>
<li>5+ Years of experience in audiovisual systems design</li>
<li>Minimum 3-5 years of design experience in the AV industry</li>
<li>IT/Networking certifications or training preferred</li>
<li>Clear understanding of the project phases (Programming, Design Development,</li>
<li>Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration)</li>
<li>Clear understanding of the construction process, installation, integration, and</li>
<li>commissioning of audiovisual systems</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of AV technology, equipment, facilities, and systems</li>
<li>used for Corporate Clients.</li>
<li>Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s and Wireless Access</li>
<li>Points. Dante Experience is a plus.</li>
<li>AVIXA CTS-D certifications a plus but not required</li>
<li>Detail oriented, independent, self-starter, with positive outlook</li>

How You’ll Contribute: 
A senior project manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiation through Closing phases. However, the SPM depends on the help of other people to perform most of the actual activities of the project. A project managers role is primarily focused around written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders. The SPM is responsible for overseeing and performing project management functions on all Broadcast projects, budgets, and scopes. The SPM will act as the person responsible on their assigned projects and have direct control over all project activities. Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for team participants, managing deliverables from the consulting team, and overseeing the completion of projects.
 The SPM is responsible for completing consulting projects on time, on budget and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction from our customers. Most of this employee's time will be spent managing projects and communicating with all project stakeholders. This person will be helping to constantly improve the established Diversified processes. As the primary interface to the client, the project manager develops a strong long-term relationship. They manage the client relationship, including expectations, communications, and satisfaction.
 
What You’ll Do: 
<ul>
<li>Provides clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, including accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow up.</li>
<li>Coordinates all activities associated with the timely, accurate and on-budget completion of the project, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities clearly and running client and internal project meetings.</li>
<li>Provides support and assistance to team members as needed in order help them be successful and get the job done.</li>
<li>Ensures appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders.</li>
<li>Resolves destructive conflict.</li>
<li>Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams with regard to Media and Entertainment’s consulting projects</li>
<li>Assumes ownership of individual projects and assignments</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains communication with Account Executives, Directors, internal and external consultants and subject matter experts, clients, etc.</li>
<li>Develops and communicates project updates as required.</li>
<li>Provides constant monitoring of labor budgets.</li>
<li>Provides and/or directs technical and administrative support to project team members. Develops and maintains all related project schedules.</li>
<li>Coordinates all deliverable documentation between all internal and external stakeholders. Facilitates and directs document reviews to assure proper documentation is delivered to the client. Provides punch-list of remaining tasks after substantial completion.</li>
<li>Contracts with contractors when necessary.</li>
<li>Monitors status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.</li>
<li>Ensures quality and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Coordinates transition of projects to later phase project teams.</li>
</ul>
Complexity: 
Every project is different, and project stakeholders are different. The SPM needs to negotiate a very complex set of variables between discovery, analysis, conceptual design, and a widely varying set of expectations with multiple stakeholders. The skill of communicating both verbally and in writing to manage all these variables takes a very high level of awareness, emotional intelligence, and people management skills. The SPM is constantly managing the forces of change in every project environment. Balancing schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and client satisfaction are a very complex set of variables.

Physical Demands: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.
 
Travel: 
Some travel by car and occasional airplane trips should be expected as much of our consulting work is conducted remotely with occasional in person meetings. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. 10% remote travel is not unusual.
 
Safety: 
When meeting a client in person, Diversified requires SPMs to ensure the team is conducting themselves in a safe manner and adheres to our site visit requirements. This may include:

What You’ll Bring:Education/Certifications: 
<ul>
<li>A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired.</li>
<li>Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position. This includes Certified Scrum Master (CSM), demonstrated knowledge of Agile project management, software project management, program management, organizational change, management, and possibly cloud technologies.</li>
</ul>

<li>5+ years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, especially in consulting.</li>

<li>Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and Entertainment / Broadcast industry. Formats include high-definition, UHD and HDR video systems deployed using analog, SDI and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.</li>

How You’ll Contribute: 
Under general guidance, the Account Executive is responsible for the business development and sales growth for their assigned market. The Account Executive is responsible for providing Diversified’s clients and prospects the highest possible level of quality in service to their account, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded by fulfilling client expectations.
