Requirements</b></h2><div><p>
This is an in-office position, located at our Portage, Michigan agency. Qualified applicants must be licensed in property and casualty or be willing to obtain license quickly; have at least two years' experience servicing in an insurance agency environment; have working knowledge of office operations and personal lines insurance products; must also have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Should have clean and professional office etiquette.</p></div>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities</b></h2><div><p><b>
Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li>Provide outstanding service to clients by evaluating and discussing premium bearing endorsements in detail. Assisting with policy changes, customer inquiries, payment handling, document filing.
</li><li>Promote and write personal lines insurance policies to inbound prospective clients.
</li><li>Inform clients about insurance policy terms, conditions, insurance coverage gaps and risk management issues. Discuss life events and material changes that affect underwriting, surcharges &amp; discounts.
</li><li>Maintain customer accounts in agency management system, documenting conversations in activity log, sending confirmations to insureds and adhering to all other automation procedures.
</li><li>Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, insurance company underwriters, sales, marketing &amp; claims representatives.</li><li>Perform all duties relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.</li><li>Light office cleaning and tidying.</li></ul></div><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
