Job Overview The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning, upkeep, and safety of the school&rsquo;s infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and equipment maintenance. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted power supply, maintaining electrical installations, coordinating repairs, and providing a safe learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems &amp; Equipment Maintenance<ul><li>Oversee installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, fans, and power backup systems (DG sets, UPS, inverters).</li><li>Ensure regular servicing and upkeep of electrical appliances (ACs, water coolers, pumps, projectors, lab equipment).</li><li>Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, power failures, or urgent repair requirements.</li><li>Maintain logs of electrical usage, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance schedules.</li></ul>Facility Operations &amp; Safety<ul><li>Conduct routine inspections of classrooms, labs, offices, playgrounds, and common areas to ensure all facilities are operational and safe.</li><li>Ensure fire safety systems, alarms, and emergency lighting are functional at all times.</li><li>Identify potential hazards and take corrective measures to minimize risks.</li></ul>Vendor &amp; Budget Management<ul><li>Coordinate with external vendors/contractors for specialized repair and maintenance projects.</li><li>Source cost-effective solutions for electrical supplies, spare parts, and repairs.</li><li>Assist in budgeting for facility maintenance and monitor cost efficiency.</li></ul>Team Supervision<ul><li>Lead and supervise the maintenance and custodial staff, assigning tasks and ensuring timely execution.</li><li>Train staff in basic electrical and safety practices.</li><li>Ensure adequate manpower availability during events, functions, and emergencies.</li></ul>Experience &amp; Skills Required<ul><li>Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility/electrical maintenance, preferably in a school, institution, or similar setup.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.</li><li>Hands-on experience with generators, UPS, and HVAC systems preferred.</li><li>Ability to manage a team, coordinate multiple tasks, and handle emergencies.</li><li>Diploma/ITI/Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;30,000.00 - &#8377;45,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
