Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for our patients. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in medical billing and coding to work in a fast-paced medical office environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Review and analyze patient medical records, including lab results and diagnoses, to determine the correct billing codes.</li><li>Utilize medical terminology and ICD-10 codes to assign accurate billing codes to patient records.</li><li>Perform medical coding for both inpatient and outpatient services.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DRG guidelines for hospital billing.</li><li>Manage patient billing and insurance claims, including processing and submitting claims to payers.</li><li>Identify and resolve billing errors, and handle billing disputes.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and billing databases.</li><li>Work closely with medical office staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.</li><li>Follow up on outstanding accounts and assist with medical collection efforts.</li><li>Stay up-to-date on the latest medical billing and coding systems, as well as regulatory changes.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding.</li><li>Experience with medical coding, including DRG coding.</li><li>Proficiency with medical billing and coding systems.</li><li>Knowledge of medical office operations and medical records management.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Familiarity with medical billing and collection practices.</li><li>Experience with electronic medical record systems and other healthcare information systems.</li><li>Certification in medical coding or billing is a plus.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical billing: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
