A Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications and pharmaceutical products. The role involves customer service, inventory control, administrative duties, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the pharmacy.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answer questions about over-the-counter medications, and refer complex inquiries to the pharmacist.</li><li>Prescription Support: Help process and label prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.</li><li>Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and organize stock; monitor inventory levels; check expiry dates; and assist with ordering supplies.</li><li>Administrative Duties: Maintain patient records, handle billing and insurance claims, and manage cash or electronic payments.</li><li>Pharmacy Maintenance: Keep the dispensary area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.</li><li>Team Support: Assist pharmacists and technicians with daily tasks, including preparing blister packs, counting pills, or preparing topical mixtures (if trained and permitted).</li><li>Compliance: Follow all regulatory and confidentiality requirements related to handling prescriptions and patient data.</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent (required)</li><li>Certificate in Pharmacy Assistant or related field (preferred)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Basic computer literacy (experience with pharmacy software an asset)</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;10,000.00 - &#8377;13,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
