Manager Credit Risk Evaluation

 Role Objective
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Doha Bank is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer &amp; Deputy MLRO for our UAE Branch, based in Dubai. This pivotal role reports directly to the Country Compliance Officer &amp; MLRO and plays a key part in ensuring the branch&rsquo;s adherence to all applicable regulatory and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements in the UAE.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:

 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. A Master&rsquo;s degree is a plus.

 The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the risk associated within the major/sizeable portfolio of assigned Corporate/institutional clients within Qatar and Overseas branches, with an aim to minimize credit losses. The incumbent will conduct comprehensive credit reviews/analysis and be responsible for regular monitoring of client performance to identify emerging credit risks. The job holder will ensure that respective portfolios carry acceptable risks at pre sanction stage, in line with the internal policies and procedures, QCB guidelines and other relevant regulatory framework.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform all activities, as assigned by the Manager &ndash; Credit Risk/ Section Head &ndash; Credit Risk Evaluation, in compliance with regulatory guidelines, and internal policies and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review Credit applications/ transaction applications/ Internal Memos, to assess inherent risks within the proposals, in consistent with the Credit policies and regulatory framework.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with the respective Relationship Managers/ branches, for clarifications/ rectifications on account of incompleteness of information provided, and to ensure all the Credit applications are completed within the set turnaround time.
 </li>
 <li>
 Undertake analysis/organize all financial data for multiple years, including but not limited to corporate financial statements, cash flow projections, credit bureau reports, accounts receivable aging, inventory listings, appraisals, collateral evaluations etc., as applicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively manage existing concentration risk (Single Name/ Sector Concentration) and highlight/ mitigate inherent risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Obtain guidance from the Manager &ndash; Credit Risk and/or Section Head &ndash; Credit Risk Evaluation, as necessary, on financial analysis in relation to Credit Cover Sheet.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare Credit Cover Sheet and term sheet, as per the approved template/format, and share with the Manager &ndash; Credit Risk and/or Section Head &ndash; Credit Risk Evaluation for necessary reviews/approvals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the Manager &ndash; Credit Risk Evaluation in arranging for site inspections and customer meetings in coordination with the Relationship Team for discussions/negotiations with the customers on the facility structure, quantum and other terms of credit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in credit risk grading exercise as per the rating model adopted by the Bank and send for approvals to the Section Head - Credit Risk Evaluation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify early warning signs based on the conduct of account, pattern of requests from the client etc. and correspond with the Relationship Teams to initiate preventive/corrective measures for regularizing the accounts.
 </li>

Senior Credit Risk Analyst

 The Market Risk Analyst will assist in implementing leading market risk practices for Doha Bank, and contribute towards methods to enhance risk measurement and mitigation. The incumbent will assist in hedging market risks resulting from changes in market prices and market parameters such as profit rates, exchange rates, volatilities and share prices. The job holder will assist in ascertaining market variables and will perform regulatory risks assignments in accordance with ICAAP and Basel II requirements, and assess the Bank&rsquo;s rating vis-&agrave;-vis other players in the market.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Assist in implementing sound market practices for the Bank for measuring, monitoring and controlling market risks, in compliance with industry best practices, approved risk policies and procedures, and respective regulators (viz. Qatar Central Bank as well as other regulators in the overseas jurisdictions).

 Assist in the implementation of the Bank&rsquo;s Market Risk Policy with exposure limits for capital usage and risk exposure of the Bank and assist in translating the same to individual business lines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Consolidate portfolio management data/ other MIS information received from the other market risk sub-functions responsible for Asset Liability Management (ALM) and sensitivity analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in producing adequate and accurate reports pertaining to market risk and disseminating the same to the concerned business units/ senior management for their consideration/ corrective action.
 </li>
 <li>
 Formulate risk profiles, representative of the true risks undertaken by the business and ensure it is consistent with market movements.

 Ensure that all risk approvals meet overall policy guidelines and QCB regulations, specifying the terms and conditions to mitigate the market risks borne/ faced by the Bank.

 <li>
 Assist the Senior Market Risk Analyst during UAT and regression testing for the stress tests, and in monitoring/reporting on the limits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in preparing analytic reports for the senior management, generated in the requested format or, in the absence of a suggestion, in a format that will be most useful to the purpose.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute towards the continual development, promotion and maintenance of common methodologies for identifying and assessing risks, and determine the adequacy and cost effectiveness of risk treatments applied within Doha Bank.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand and support in implementing ICAAP, Basel III and QCB guidelines on account of liquidity risks, including market risk capital adequacy computations for QCB reporting with respect to Basel II/III calculations and other activities pertaining to the same.
