Summary: We are seeking a Legal Secretary to perform various office dutiesJob Title: Legal SecretaryLocation: Menands, NY 12204Target Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30AM-4:45PM Target Duration/End Date: December 2027Description of Roles and Responsibilities:&middot; Types Amendment cases from books, FileNet and SPDS&middot; Audits and mails certificates to local registrars and applicants&middot; Files sealed records and CCFS (Court Ordered Paternity)&middot; Review documentation to support correction or amendments birth certificates and fills orders&middot; Keys and verifies all amended and corrected birth and death certificates scanned for FileNet&middot; Opens, sorts, searches and files all incoming mail for Correction Unit/Amendment&middot; Pulls fiche cards, makes white copies, produces records for paid batches, overnight requests and regular mail requests, and VitalChek requests&middot; Assist in managing VitalChek orders and updating database with order commentsMandatory/Minimum Qualification, Skills, Experience Requirements:Associate or Bachelor's degree with at least Three Years of experience as a Legal Secretary is preferredQualification, Skills, Experience Requirements:&middot; Proficiency in legal terminology or investigative techniques&middot; Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite programs including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint&middot; Proficiency in web-based applications and databases&middot; Excellent written and oral communication&middot; Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, maintain organized files, and meet deadlines&middot; Ideal candidate for the position is someone with attention to detail and can manage working in multiple data systems to fulfill and track vital record orders&middot; Previous work with vital records is a plus(Resume must stand alone in demonstrating qualifications and experience)Other Notes:1.
