Job Description 
About the Supervisor, AP/AR
This position is responsible for providing oversight and assistance related to donor billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and contract management functions within the Finance Department. This includes data entry within the accounting software as well as tracking spreadsheets. This position will be responsible for timely billing, receipts, and third-party payments all while ensuring these areas are operating within the agreed upon terms of active contractual agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Actively supervises Accounts Payable, Organ Billing, and Tissue Billing Staff<ul><li><ul><li>
Performs periodic performance reviews and evaluations of each staff member according to DNA policy.</li><li>
Provides leadership to the department&rsquo;s staff and assigns tasks, responsibilities, and special projects as needed. Holds direct reports accountable, maintains discipline and resolves conflicts.</li><li>
In conjunction with the Manager of Accounting, provides training, continuing education, and skill development to ensure that all staff members are qualified and competent in their areas of assignment.</li></ul></li></ul>
2. Coordination of Billing, Receivable, and Payment functions<ul><li><ul><li>
Monitors daily billing, receivable, and accounts payable analytics to ensure team remains current on all accounts.</li><li>
Serves as a backup coverage for direct reports.</li><li>
Implements best practices to minimize accounts greater than 90 days.</li><li>
Engages with appropriate EMR/BI and clinical team members to ensure billing integrity at a UNOS level.</li><li>
Consults with Manager of Accounting to ensure monthly operating revenues and expenses are accurate and posted in the appropriate period.</li><li>
Responsible for periodic reconciliations and resolving discrepancies with Manager of Accounting</li></ul></li></ul>
3. Maintains oversight of contractual agreements<ul><li><ul><li>
Proactively engages with leadership to ensure appropriate onboarding of new, renewal of existing, and retirement of no longer needed contractual agreements.</li><li>
Communicates item master revisions to Manager of Accounting so accounting system reflects current contracted processor rates.</li><li>
Leverages contractual agreements to ensure appropriate coding and no payment of services not contracted for.</li></ul></li></ul>
4. Serves as primary or secondary backup for the various departmental functions as assigned.<ul><li>
Serves as the primary backup for the accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li></ul>
Requirements
Minimum Education:
Associate&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
3-5 Years in a related field
Preferred Education: B.A. Accounting or related field, B.A. or B.S. with Concentration in Healthcare
Preferred Experience: 5+ Years in a related field

Supervisor, Accounts Payable/Receivable & Contracts

<div>Description:

The Birth Tissue Clinical Coordinator supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network, Inc. (NDN) by providing accurate, efficient, and timely birth tissue services for stakeholders including, but not limited to, referring physicians, hospital staff, and tissue processing partners. The Birth Tissue Clinical Coordinator is responsible for communicating with expectant mothers, providing a compelling reason to consider birth tissue donation, coordinating the donation of that tissue, and providing exceptional customer service and follow-up services to mothers.<ul><li>
Provides exemplary customer service to and communicates effectively with all stakeholders.</li><li>
Reviews and documents referral information in database(s).</li><li>
Obtains informed consent for birth tissue donation from expectant mothers by providing information on the benefits of donation and completes all documentation according to established protocols.</li><li>
Conducts Donor Risk Assessment Interview (medical and social behavior interview) with expectant mothers according to established organizational protocols.</li><li>
Performs all tasks associated with birth tissue acquisition at the time of a delivery for a consented donor.</li><li>
Applies Universal Precautions and appropriate safety precautions at all times.</li><li>
Monitors status of donor medical record requests and completes all required donor charts completely, accurately, and in a timely manner according to protocol.</li><li>
Maintains confidentiality of patient/donor private health information.</li><li>
Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders, to include hospital personnel, physicians, labor and delivery units, and other NDN department staff.</li><li>
Provides informative, educational sessions for hospital staff and expectant mothers about birth tissue donation.</li><li>
Interacts courteously and effectively with both internal and external clients.</li><li>
Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.</li><li>
Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.</li><li>
Consistently meets birth tissue performance metrics.</li><li>
Follows policies and procedures to ensure compliance with rules and regulations from accrediting and regulatory agencies.</li><li>
Exemplifies the organizational core values and services and serves as a champion of the mission.</li><li>
Participates in NDN committees, special functions, and community events, as needed.</li><li>
Performs other duties as requested by Manager of birth Tissue Services and Director of Tissue Operations.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Education: Healthcare/medical training or certificate (preferred); relevant work experience may be substituted for academic requirements.
Experience: Two years of healthcare related experience (required); Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office programs. Proficient use of Computer, Fax, Photocopier, and telephone.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of basic aseptic technique, universal precautions, and medical terminology preferred. Availability on-call or on-site, according to a fixed schedule. Required to have a personal cell phone. Travel by personal or company auto is required to meet all the duties and responsibilities of the position.
TRAVEL TO LAS VEGAS IS REQUIRED FOR 16 - 26 WEEKS OF TRAINING
Weekend and night availability is required</div>
