Don&rsquo;s Appliances is seeking an <b>Apprentice Appliance Repair Technician</b> to work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn how to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential appliances. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a long-term career in the appliance repair industry. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience, participate in training, and gradually take on more responsibilities as skills develop.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Learn and perform basic troubleshooting procedures under supervision.</li><li>
Attend scheduled training sessions, online, in classroom-style settings, and in the field.</li><li>
Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing major home appliances, including refrigerators, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and microwaves.</li><li>
Document work performed and parts used in the company software.</li><li>
Communicate professionally with customers while observing how to explain repair needs and solutions.</li><li>
Follow all safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications.</li><li>
Shadow technicians to observe and learn proper techniques, workflow efficiency, and customer interaction.</li><li>
Test repaired appliances to confirm correct and safe operation.</li><li>
Assist Service Department with additional tasks as needed</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Education:</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Skills &amp; Competencies:</b></div><ul><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical work.</li><li>
Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.</li><li>
Good communication and customer service skills.</li><li>
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, kneeling, and bending.</li><li>
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained.</li><li>
Able to pass a criminal background and drug screening
</li><li>Legibly complete all paperwork</li><li>
Operate a company vehicle in a safe manner</li><li>
Strong computer proficiency, including email</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Previous experience in maintenance, HVAC, automotive, or related trades.</li><li>
Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical systems</li><li>
Technical school coursework (not required but beneficial).</li><li>
Basic tool knowledge and comfort using hand tools.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical Requirements</b></div><ul><li>
Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances or components (up to 50 lbs.), stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Robinson / Monday &ndash; Friday 8:00AM &ndash; 4:30PM Saturday rotation</li><li>
Regular travel to customer locations and training sites may be required.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Rate of Pay:</b></div><ul><li>
$22.00 an hour</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
