 Key Responsibilities and Duties:
 
 
 
 1. Reviews, interprets, clarifies doctor&rsquo;s medications orders and verifies all orders doses, duration, and checks
 
 
 for potential drug-to-drug interaction and clinical indication. Communicates with ordering doctor in case of
 
 
 any ambiguity or concern.
 
 
 2. Oversees the preparation of the verified medications, performs double-checking and review of proper
 
 
 labeling for the prepared medications and then dispenses.
 
 
 3. Calculates the amount of the drug product to dispense for a prescription based upon body weight and
 
 
 patient age.
 
 
 4. Responsible for tracking on the whiteboard all patients that have discharge order and immediately preparing
 
 
 take home medications and refunding / arranging for return of dispensed and non-administered medication.
 
 
 5. Follows all medication safety procedures when dispensing medications.
 
 
 6. Maintains inventory control &amp; security of all drugs, record keeping and secured storage of narcotics and
 
 
 controlled medications.
 
 
 7. Identifies and appropriately handles the nearly expired medications according to Fakeeh Care policies and
 
 
 NEVER dispenses a medication beyond its expiry date.
 
 
 8. Participates in chemotherapy preparations program(order verification ,protocol checking ,&hellip;etc.) if applicable.
 
 
 9. Participates in the intravenous admixture preparations program, mixing and checking including total
 
 
 parenteral nutrition.
 
 
 10. Properly completes charging of patients for dispensed medications.
 
 
 11. Demonstrates knowledge of proper storage &amp; handling of hazardous materials found in her/him workplace,
 
 
 as well as first aid measures necessary for accidental exposure.
 
 
 12. Demonstrates knowledge &amp; skills in utilizing formulary, identifications of generic substitution and indication.
 
 
 13. Practices and fully complies with current infection prevention and control standards when handling
 
 
 medications and preparing IV and TPN formulas.
 
 
 14. Contributes to training and induction orientation for newly hired pharmacists and students and trainees.
 
 
 15. Reports to pharmacy supervisor/ manager and enters on OVR any encountered medication error or ADR.
 
 
 16. Attends continuing education programs to maintain expertise in Pharmacy and required licensure.
 
 
 17. Ensures Enrollment in continuous education program regarding medication management practices, high risk
 
 
 medications, medication errors and others.
 
 
 18. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if
 
 
 applicable.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Job Requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills and Abilities:
 
 
 
 - Competent computer skills with software applications to include Microsoft Word,
 
 
 Excel.
 
 
 - Actively strive to upgrade professional skills through engaging in appropriate
 
 
 professional training and experience.
 
 
 
 Experience:
 
 0 &ndash; 2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy setting.
 
 
 
 Education:
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree of Pharmacy.
 
 
 
 Language:
 
 Good command of oral and written English.
 
 
 Licenses / Certifications:
 
 
 License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS /
 
 
 DHA).

Inpatient Pharmacist

 Key Responsibilities and Duties:
 
 
 
 1. Performs short routine EEG recordings.
 
 
 2. Conducts long-term video EEG monitoring.
 
 
 3. Performs bedside EEG recordings.
 
 
 4. Carries out Nerve Conduction Test.
 
 
 5. Conducts evoked potential testing, visual and Somatosensory.
 
 
 6. Assists Neurology Doctor&rsquo;s to perform EMG advanced NCV and VEP.
 
 
 7. Types and fills reports of each patient.
 
 
 8. Arranges appointment for PSG,PAP Titration, EEG,EMG-NCV and VEP.
 
 
 9. Performs routine equipment&rsquo;s care, maintenance and inventory evaluation in collaboration with biomedical
 
 
 engineer.
 
 
 10. Reports safety or operational concerns to chairperson of Neurosciences.
 
 
 11. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if
 
 
 applicable.
 
 
 12. Performs all procedures in a timely and professional manner.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Job Requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills and Abilities:
 
 
 
 - Computer knowledge of Microsoft word in mandatory typing skills of 20 words
 
 
 per minutes or higher.
 
 
 
 Experience:
 
 
 
 - Minimum of 3 years as Neurophysiology Technician or EEG/NCV/EP technician with
 
 
 documented proficiency in all required competencies.
 
 
 - For Senior Neurophysiology Technician Minimum of 5 years as Neurophysiology
 
 
 Technician or EEG/NCV/EP technician with documented proficiency in all required
 
 
 competencies
 
 
 
 Education:
 
 
 
 Completion of neuro physiology procedures training in the hospital or preemployment
 
 
 training session from accredited facility
 
 
 Language: English and Arabic preferred
 
 
 Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
