Dynamic Communications Coordinator Wanted: Help Shape Our Story and Engage our teams!Join the largest Taco Bell franchisee in the world and home to other incredible food brands&mdash;as our Communications Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you'll help communicate our brand and story across all internal and external channels, creating engaging, on-brand content that connects with our employees, guests, and fans. You will also own employee contests, and newsletters, ensuring the effectiveness of DRG programs and benefits. As the voice of the company, you'll be a part of major DRG events and celebrations, including restaurant grand openings, employee recognition trips, scholarship presentations, and more. If you're creative, people-oriented, have great writing skills and ready to make an impact, this is your moment.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Develop and distribute timely written communications each week, including the weekly newsletter, key announcements, and crisis response messages.</li><li>Manage and own the company intranet myDRG by creating engaging posts, updating content, overseeing the recognition system and maintaining a seamless and user-friendly experience for all employees.</li><li>Demonstrate expertise in video editing to produce engaging videos for communications. Utilize and be proficient in graphic tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator.</li><li>Help develop communication strategies and comprehensive plans for company initiatives. Build inter-departmental relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to determine the most relevant messages for employees.</li><li>Analyze the effectiveness of communications using data, surveys and polls to gather feedback and insights.</li><li>Work alongside the marketing team assisting at events, activations, grand openings and re-openings to promote and support our brands. Build guest lists and maintain relationships with employees, influencers, VIP contacts and partners.</li><li>Assists in the creation and distribution of public relations materials, including memos, press releases, marketing collateral, and other communication documents.</li><li>Involved in all social media aspects, including calendar building, content creation, copy editing and ongoing management.</li><li>Spot necessary updates and maintain fresh copy and pictures on DRG websites.</li><li>Proactively identify and promote employee stories and achievements within newsletters, blog posts, and social media channels to foster a sense of community and recognition.</li><li>Assist with various aspects of planning and coordinating DRG annual events, including content development, presentations, and logistical support.</li><li>Help drive fundraising for the DRG Cares program and Taco Bell Round Up, including creating contests and managing employee incentives and prize giveaways.</li><li>Continues to seek creative ways to reinforce company programs and tools throughout the year.</li><li>Support the Communications Manager in managing the DRG Studios video initiative, including concept creation, scriptwriting, scheduling, filming, editing, and posting videos.</li></ul>LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS:<ul><li>Creativity - Comes up with a lot of new and unique ideas; easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions; tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings.</li><li>Innovation Management - Is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market; has sound judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work; has a sense about managing the creative process of others; can facilitate effective brainstorming; can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace.</li><li>Time Management - Uses their time effectively and efficiently; values time; concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities; gets more done in less time than others; can attend a broader range of activities.</li><li>Written Communications - Can write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.</li><li>Interpersonal Savvy - Relates well to all kinds of people, including those inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Proficiency in written communications, video editing and content creation tools.</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.</li><li>Ability to produce engaging content for internal audiences.</li><li>Skilled in design (creating branding materials, visuals, etc.).</li><li>Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Detail oriented with strong organizational, time management, skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Must be able to lift between up to 20 lbs.</li><li>2 to 4 years of experience in related field.</li></ul>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li><li>Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field preferred</li></ul>ABOUT: Diversified Restaurant Group is a people first company!
