We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Ecommerce Assistant / Catalog Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our ecommerce operations by managing large product catalogs, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing listings for performance. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, methodical, and has a strong grasp of ecommerce best practices.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Maintain and manage large catalogs of products across multiple categories.</li><li>
Create, edit, and optimize product listings with accurate titles, descriptions, images, and specifications.</li><li>
Perform regular audits of existing product listings to ensure data consistency and completeness.</li><li>
Research product information across manufacturer and distributor websites.</li><li>
Format product content using basic HTML for optimal display and readability.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal teams (content, purchasing, and customer service) to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>
Support bulk imports/exports and SKU management using Excel or Google Sheets.</li><li>
Implement eCommerce best practices related to product taxonomy, SEO, and user experience.</li></ul>

Required Skills:<ul><li>
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>
Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>
Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).</li><li>
Basic HTML knowledge (formatting text, lists, links, etc.).</li><li>
Experience navigating and extracting data from complex or incomplete websites.</li><li>
Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and product data standards.</li><li>
Clear, concise written communication for product content creation.</li></ul>
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):<ul><li>
Light photo editing or image optimization (Photoshop, Canva, etc.).</li><li>
Copywriting, editing, or product marketing experience.</li><li>
Experience with ecommerce SEO practices.</li><li>
Familiarity with tools like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.</li></ul></div>
