Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): </b>The Technical Training Specialist researches, designs, develops, and delivers product related training programs that support product knowledge, troubleshooting, and servicing for our service repair department, external customers, and authorized repair centers.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Main Activities/Responsibilities:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Develops, organizes, schedules, conducts, and evaluates technical training programs, which may include training related to the use of computer software applications, product testing devices (multi-meters, pressure/vacuum gauges, oxygen measuring devices), or other technical applications, including:<ul><li><b>
Service training</b> &ndash; develops and helps coordinate on-site training, training videos, both live and recorded webinars, technical writing, and technical bulletins to convey product knowledge to internal associates and external customers/service partners.</li><li><b>
Remedial training</b> needed to ensure that our internal associates and external customers/service partners or providers are in compliance with regulations and procedures.</li><li>
Training materials or other training documentation.</li></ul></li><li>
Documents training, assesses effectiveness and progress, reports on progress, and makes changes to training as needed.</li><li>
Develops and supports both internal and external documentation for repair and service.</li><li>
Travels within the U.S. and internationally up to 6 times per year, on average.</li><li>
Attends product development meetings, quality control reviews, and manufacturing discussions as required to remain current on new unit designs, existing quality issues, and ongoing sustaining engineering efforts.</li><li>
Responds to customer inquiries for elevated technical product support, troubleshooting, and general questions.</li><li>
In addition to the required daily duties, project work spanning up to 1 year may be assigned in cooperation with the Repair Associates and other functional areas of the business.</li><li>
Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>

Ability to gain a complete understanding of all products, policies, and procedures within the DeVilbiss portfolio and Quality Management System (QMS) is required. This individual must be able to articulate this knowledge to build customer loyalty and satisfaction. A detailed understanding of all unique components is required (electronics, product troubleshooting, disabilities, etc.). Understanding of how our products are used to improve quality of life, as well as a working knowledge of competitive products and/or market dynamics.</li><li>

Strong computer skills with experience working in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS) and ability to learn new applications.</li><li>
Able to read and comprehend (in English) simple and complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Documents may include Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, schematics, diagrams, etc.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication, strong planning and presentational skills, analytical thinking skills, interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to lead, develop others, and manage key initiatives to achieve successful results.</li><li>
Spanish language skills are a plus.</li><li>
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.</li><li>
Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced changing environment and reprioritize quickly.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Reporting Relationships and Supervision:</b></div><div>
This position works under the supervision of the Director, Service. This role has no direct reports.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education and Experience:</b></div><div><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED equivalent and college-level degree in related field or equivalent work experience.</li><li>
2 plus years&rsquo; experience with consistent performance as a Technical Trainer or equivalent experience.</li><li>
3+ years of experience in a Tech Support or Training environment.</li><li>
Experience with technical writing, technical bulletins preferred.</li><li>
Public speaking and training experience preferred.</li><li>
Experience with computers, smart phones, web applications, video production, editing, and/or publishing.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical Demands/Work Environment:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs. or occasional lifting, engaging the two person lift, for objects weighing more than 50 lbs.</li><li>
Perform activities in a warehouse environment. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust.</li><li>
Hepatitis B vaccine strongly encouraged (company paid) or signed declination required.</li><li>
Must be able to operate standard warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
