<div>The Purchasing Director is responsible for all procurement, inventory management, vendor relationship, and price negotiation for the club, with a strong focus on food items, dry storage, and kitchen chemicals.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee and manage all aspects of procurement for food, dry storage goods, and kitchen chemicals.</li><li>Forecast operational needs and schedule deliveries of food items.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company purchasing programs, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to secure the highest quality goods at the most favorable prices.</li><li>Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for all culinary and storage areas.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with all vendors and suppliers.</li><li>Read and accurately interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and place timely and correct food orders for all events.</li><li>Ensure that all delivered items meet quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Utilize culinary experience to make informed purchasing decisions that support menu quality and cost control.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all purchases, pricing, and inventory.</li></ul>

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Superior negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>Deep understanding of culinary operations, food quality standards, and BEO interpretation.</li><li>Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.</li><li>Understands importance of discretion and able to maintain confidentiality.</li><li>Intermediate proficiency with computers.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the restaurant, hotel, or private club industry.</li><li>Prior professional experience as a Chef is required.</li><li>Experience in price negotiation and vendor relationship management.</li></ul>
