DSG is seeking a <b>Plumbing &amp; HVAC</b><b> Counter Sales Associate</b> in our <b>Spirit Lake, IA</b> location. In this <b>full time, hourly</b> position, work is typically performed between the hours of<b> 7</b><b>am </b><b>and 4</b><b>pm</b><b>, Monday through Friday</b>, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will <b>assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment</b>, as well as assisting in all aspects of warehouse duties as needed.</div><div></div><div><i><br>

A Typical Day in the Life of a Plumbing &amp; HVAC Counter Sales Associate:</b></div><ul><li>
Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk</li><li>
Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries</li><li>
Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner</li><li>
Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary</li><li>
Provide trouble-shooting and technical support</li><li>
Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues</li><li>
Restock the counter area according to product brand and location</li><li>
Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product</li><li>
Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area</li><li>
Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><div><b>
A Successful Plumbing &amp; HVAC Counter Sales Associate Typically Has:</b></div><ul><li>
Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school <b>OR</b> 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of plumbing and/or HVAC products.</li><li>
Excellent relationship building skills.</li><li>
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.</li><li>
A knack for active listening to determine customer needs.</li><li>
Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.</li><li>
A high proficiency with computers &ndash; experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.</li><li>
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.</li></ul><div><b>
