Position Summary
The Staff Accountant provides essential support for Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A), bonus administration, and core accounting operations. This role ensures accuracy and efficiency across budgeting, forecasting, and bonus processes, and is key to delivering clear, actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Assist in coordinating annual budgeting processes (expense and capital), providing analysis and support to management.</li><li>
Monitor and analyze budget performance at specified intervals, identifying variances, trends, and patterns, and communicating findings to management.</li><li>
Collaborate with leadership to develop, draft, evaluate, and revise employee bonus plans.</li><li>
Administer the company&rsquo;s bonus program, including implementing new bonus plans for new hires and processing updates for current employees.</li><li>
Prepare monthly bonus accruals and ensure accurate entries in the bonus system.</li><li>
Identify, propose, and implement process and system improvements related to budgeting and bonus administration.</li><li>
Prepare and deliver timely financial reports and insights to support decision‑making.</li><li>
Communicate with internal leaders regarding budget and bonus-related inquiries.</li><li>
Support additional accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as needed.</li></ul>
Education and Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related field required.</li><li>
0&ndash;3 years of experience in Accounting or a related field.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word and PowerPoint is a plus.</li><li>
Database and SQL skills preferred.</li><li>
Strong communication skills with a customer‑service mindset.</li><li>
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.</li><li>
Experience with Workday Financials, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar ERP systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with bonus plan design and administration best practices.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.</li><li>
Proactive approach to identifying process improvements and driving efficiency.</li></ul>
Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week</li><li>
Travel: Less than 10%</li><li>
