<p></p><div><p>The DuPage County Health Department is looking for a new team member to work as a Community Support Specialist on our Intensive Case Management team. The ideal candidate will be able to project warmth and sincerity in effectively working with clients. Our program is part of comprehensive community behavioral health system that includes crisis services, adult intensive services/residential services, forensic behavioral health, substance use treatment, and psychiatric services.</p><p>
This full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, is based at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton. This position involves 60% of client services provided in the community, with some office-based sessions. This position will provide an opportunity to engage in advocacy, education, and referral services to clients with severe mental illness. In this role, you will also need to have knowledge of harm reduction practices, stages of change and motivation enhancement treatment. Our new team member will have the ability to work collaboratively with community providers in order to achieve client goals. Our Intensive Case Management Team provides a supportive approach towards recovery and resiliency oriented, intensive, community-based rehabilitation and outreach service for adults. <i>*Salary may increase based on experience.</i></p><p>

Acts as a liaison between healthcare resources and clients; participates in client staffing and team meetings.</li><li>
Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisions; meets established productivity standards; performs concurrent documentation.</li><li>
Maintains collaborative relationships with co-workers to effectively support clients.</li><li>
Participates in emergency activities as assigned.</li><li>
Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification.</li><li>

The Crisis Recovery Center</b></p><p>
The Crisis Recovery Center (CRC) is the critical next step in DuPage County Health Department&rsquo;s decades-long journey to build the infrastructure needed to support a best-in-class behavioral health system and ensures all DuPage County residents will have <b>&ldquo;someone to contact, someone to respond, and a safe place to get help&rdquo;</b> when experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The CRC will help residents de-escalate, stabilize, and connect to community resources catered to their individual mental health and substance use treatment needs. The building design and operations will ensure individuals and their families feel welcome, respected, and secure throughout every step of their care. The CRC serves as an alternative to hospital emergency departments and simplifies access to crisis care for all individuals, families, and first responders. Job Details</b><br>
<b> </b>This full-time overnight position is scheduled to work Thursday to Sunday, 9:30 pm-7:30 am. The hiring range for this position is $44,400 to $52,000, depending on experience.</p><p><b><br>
