Duggal Visual Solutions, a premier leader in the large-format graphics and visual solutions industry, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented <b>Large Format Cutter Operator</b>.</p><p>
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a founding production team helping establish Duggal's newest manufacturing facility in <b>Coatesville, PA.</b></p><p>
We are seeking an experienced Large Format Cutter Operator to operate and maintain the Kongsberg and Zund cutting systems. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality graphics while supporting efficient production workflows in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with printing processes and graphics finishing is a plus.</p><p>
1st Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm (Overtime as needed)</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Duties and Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Review production schedules, job tickets, and work instructions to confirm specifications, priorities, and requirements prior to production.</p></li><li><div>
Operate large-format cutting equipment, including the Kongsberg and Zund platforms as well as vinyl and manual cutters.</div></li><li><div>
Set up and execute cut jobs by loading media, verifying files, performing quality checks, and monitoring cut quality throughout production.</div></li><li><div>
Handle a variety of materials including flexible roll media, and rigid substrates commonly used in signage and display graphics.</div></li><li><div>
Monitor and log equipment performance and production throughput to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines.</div></li><li><div>
Troubleshoot cutting-related issues such as cut inconsistencies, rough edges, sizing errors, registration issues, and material handling concerns.</div></li><li><div>
Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, tool care, and basic equipment troubleshooting while maintaining maintenance records.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with prepress, finishing, and printing teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.</div></li><li><div>
Prepare, inspect, and stage printed graphics for downstream finishing operations, including assembly, packing, and kitting.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe production environment in accordance with company standards.</div></li><li><div>
Adhere to all safety policies, equipment operating procedures, and quality control requirements.</div></li><li><p>
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production objectives</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Knowledge and Abilities</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Hands-on experience operating large-format cutting equipment in both flatbed and roll-to-roll production environments.</p></li><li><div>
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.</div></li><li><div>
Strong understanding of cut quality standards and attention to detail.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of common signage substrates and media used in large-format graphics production.</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with cutting software, manual and rip generated file preparation, and workflow requirements for digital cutting systems.</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot cutting equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.</div></li><li><div>
Basic computer proficiency and the ability to accurately read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production documentation.</div></li><li><div>
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and follow production instructions.</div></li><li><p>
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) to effectively communicate job requirements, safety procedures, and production information.</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications &ndash; Education, Experience, Certifications:</b></h3><ul><li><p>
3&ndash;5 years of large format cutting experience required</p></li><li><div>
Experience with Kongsberg or Zund cutters is strongly preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Experience operating both flatbed and roll-to-roll equipment required</div></li><li><div>
Experience in a commercial printing, signage, or graphics production environment preferred</div></li><li><div>
High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade school or college is a plus.</div></li><li><div>
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite</div></li><li><div>
Experience with MS and Google Suite</div></li><li><p>
OSHA 10-Hour certification or equivalent safety training preferred.</p></li></ul><p><b>
Physical and Environmental considerations</b></p><ul><li><p><b>
Standing and Mobility:</b> Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring production operations, inspecting output, and moving throughout the production area.</p></li><li><div><b>
Material Handling:</b> Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, including printed media, substrates, and production supplies.</div></li><li><div><b>
Manual Dexterity:</b> Requires frequent use of hands and arms to operate equipment, perform quality inspections, make machine adjustments, and reach or stretch as needed throughout the workday.</div></li><li><div><b>
Repetitive Tasks:</b> Ability to perform repetitive motions such as loading materials, operating controls, handling finished products, and making routine machine adjustments while maintaining accuracy and productivity.</div></li><li><div><b>
Safety Awareness:</b> Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and use required PPE.</div></li><li><p><b>
Work Environment:</b> Ability to work effectively in a production setting with varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment-generated heat while maintaining focus and productivity.</p></li></ul><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Compensation:</b></h3><p>
The base compensation range for this full-time position is $22 - $26 per hour plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location.</p></div><p></p>
