This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and methodologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to technological excellence.Core Technologies<ul><li>Snowflake &ndash; Cloud data warehousing, performance tuning, and data sharing</li><li>dbt (data build tool) &ndash; Data transformation, modeling, testing, and documentation</li><li>Fivetran &ndash; Automated data integration and pipeline orchestration</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Fivetran for automated ELT ingestion and dbt for SQL-based data transformation and modeling within Snowflake.</li><li>Build and optimize cloud data warehouses and data lakes on Snowflake; implement efficient schema design, clustering keys, and query performance tuning.</li><li>Author, test, and document dbt models (staging, intermediate, and mart layers) following software engineering best practices including version control and CI/CD integration.</li><li>Configure and manage Fivetran connectors to reliably sync data from diverse SaaS, database, and event sources into the central data platform.</li><li>Implement database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and other relational systems; ensure efficient database design and performance optimization.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources via RESTful APIs and other interfaces for seamless end-to-end data flow.</li><li>Develop data models to support machine learning algorithms and advanced analytics using SQL and Python within the Snowflake ecosystem.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, dbt model lineage, workflows, and processes; uphold best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.</li><li>Participate actively in Agile development cycles; contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines for data assets.</li></ul>Required Experience &amp; Skills<ul><li>Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, virtual warehouses, roles/permissions, and performance optimization &mdash; this is a must-have skill.</li><li>Proficiency with dbt (data build tool): writing modular SQL models, tests, macros, documentation, and working within dbt Cloud or dbt Core.</li><li>Experience with Fivetran for configuring, managing, and monitoring data connectors and ELT pipelines.</li><li>Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for data storage, processing, and orchestration.</li><li>Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages; familiarity with Java or VBA is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL development for complex transformations, database design, and query optimization.</li><li>Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hive, or Hadoop ecosystem components is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or Talend in addition to modern ELT approaches via Fivetran.</li><li>Knowledge of BI/visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau for building dashboards that support business decisions.</li><li>Experience working within Agile teams; strong analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification or equivalent.</li><li>dbt Certification or demonstrated portfolio of dbt projects.</li><li>Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or dbt Cloud's built-in scheduling.</li><li>Familiarity with data quality frameworks, observability tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, Great Expectations), and metadata management.</li><li>Exposure to Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, or Apache Hive for hybrid or legacy data environments.</li></ul>Pay: $58.00 - $68.00 per hourWork Location: Hybrid remote in Minnesota City, MN 55959
