The Dwight School, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is seeking a part-time Custodian.
Maintenance Worker
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: Determined based on availability and the needs of the school
Responsibilities of Position:<ul><li>
Must report to assigned shift on time</li><li>
Must be in appropriate work attire as defined by supervisor</li><li>
Must be able to follow direction and communicate with supervisor to ensure daily needs of the facility are met</li><li>
Must be able to follow a written schedule of events</li><li>
Must perform hygienic cleaning of bathrooms, locker rooms and designated lunchroom</li><li>
Must maintain the cleanliness of entire facility to the standards of manager on duty</li><li>
Must be able to carry trash to proper disposal site</li><li>
Must be able to work outdoors if needed</li><li>
Must be able to complete set up of tables and chairs and sporting events as needed</li><li>
Must be willing to learn how to operate all mechanical equipment and report irregularities</li><li>
Must maintain a professional relationship with all students, faculty, staff, visitors and related community of the school</li><li>
Must be able to respond to emergency&rsquo;s as directed</li><li>
Must be aware and assist will all facility emergency procedures and assist in securing the facility</li></ul>
Requirements of Position:<ul><li>
Proven maintenance experience</li><li>
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required</li><li>
Ability to maintain focus while working individually
</li><li>S-95 Fireguard License a PLUS
</li></ul>Compensation commensurate upon experience: Starting rate $18-20 per hour
