1st: 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday</li></ul>
Pay Range: $19.46 / hr.

Job Corps&rsquo; national mission is to educate and train highly-motivated young people, ages 16-24, for successful careers in the nation&rsquo;s fastest-growing industries. Here at Dayton Job Corps Center, we support their mission by teaching eligible young people, the skills they need to become employable and independent, and place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Students here have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. The program helps them to complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, provides transitional support services, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps graduates either enter the workforce or an apprenticeship, go on to higher education, or join the military.
Purpose: Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in compliance with government and management directives.
Your Responsibilities:
Complies with all management, corporate, and government directives and standard operating procedures.
Models, mentors, and monitors a positive normative culture.
Handles routine matters personally and routes non-routine business to proper staff for consideration.
Maintains the monthly calendar of activities and appointments.
Acts as the centralized point of contact for new Job Corps prospects.
Schedules prospects to attend information sessions.
Provides information packets to interested prospects, parents, and community.
Acts as the liaison between contract management and other staff.
Maintains the correspondence control log, receives incoming and outgoing mail, and provides follow up on dates for action items.
Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties; prepares special reports; maintains files, records, and statistical data; makes travel arrangements, etc., as required.
Performs secretarial duties, including data entry, dictation, and typing of correspondence and other materials.
Maintains appropriate stock of office supplies. Maintains a filing system for all program manuals, directives, DESI procedures, and other program documents.
Maintains accountability of staff, properly adheres to safety practices, and performs safety inspections in areas of responsibility 
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Two years of related secretarial experience
Skills/Abilities:<ul><li><div>
Ability to promote the Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions</div></li><li><div>
Strong organizational skills</div></li><li><div>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</div></li><li><div>
Computer proficiency</div></li><li><div>
Ability to type 50 words per minute</div></li><li><div>
I-9 documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States</div></li><li>
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check</li></ul>
Additional Requirements: Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
