As Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting project success by managing procurement activities, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring materials and equipment are available to meet project schedules. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support project and operational needs.</li><li>
Maintain current and competitive pricing on all materials and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.</li><li>
Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.</li><li>
Review, coordinate, and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate records of goods ordered and received.</li><li>
Assist the Estimating Department in obtaining special project pricing as needed.</li><li>
Coordinate the purchasing and delivery of materials to jobsites to ensure timely fulfillment of project requirements.</li><li>
Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, equipment, and small tools, including performing regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and work with field and production teams to determine supply needs and avoid shortages or overstock.</li><li>
Coordinate the purchase of small tools and fixed assets while maintaining warehouse organization in a safe and orderly manner.</li><li>
Coordinate labor and scheduling for material deliveries as required.</li><li>
Ensure the quality of procured materials and resolve issues with vendors when necessary.</li><li>
Participate in required company training programs and stay current with purchasing practices and technology.</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to all company policies and procedures.</li></ul> 
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
3&ndash;5 years of previous purchasing or procurement experience required; experience in the carpentry or construction industry is a plus.</li><li>
Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and other common business software.</li><li>
Working knowledge of the construction industry and related trades.</li><li>
Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used for company construction projects.</li></ul>
