Hiring Range: $32.08-$38.50. The maximum pay for this position is $44.92.
Performs Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), airport operations, and maintenance duties. Responds as part of a team to airport emergencies to provide fire and rescue services. Performs snow removal, inspections, and maintenance, and operates equipment necessary to maintain airport property and facilities. Works rotational shifts that will include some holidays and weekends. Ensures safe airfield conditions and performs a variety of administrative, professional, and technical tasks in support of the airport.
Schedule: Staff will work two consecutive 17-hour shifts (typically 0530-2230) followed by four shifts off duty. This will be explained further during the interview.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification, or Registration:
Work Experience and Certifications:<ul><li>
IFSAC, ProBoard, or State of Colorado Firefighter I</li><li>
IFSAC, ProBoard, or State of Colorado Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations</li><li>
40-hour First Responder 1st aid course or the ability to obtain certification within 45 days of employment.</li></ul>
Licensure, Certification, or Registration:<ul><li>
Completion of Basic ASOS Certification within 1 year of employment</li><li>
Completion of Advanced ASOS within 2 years of employment</li><li>
Completion of ACE OPS within 3 years of completion</li><li>
Must successfully pass a 10-year background criminal history records check in accordance with TSR, Part 1542, and maintain eligibility for FAA and TSA-mandated security clearance requirements.</li><li>
Possess a valid State of Colorado Driver&rsquo;s License, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days, with a satisfactory motor vehicle record without restrictions</li><li>
Must complete a 40-hour First Responder 1st aid course within 45 days of employment.</li><li>
Completion of FAA ARFF training within 30 days of employment</li><li>
Completion of FAA, Part 139 Certification Live Fire burn within 45 days of employment</li><li>
Completion of NIMS Training (must be completed within six months of employment):

<div>Hourly Range: $24.08-$28.30.

The Maintenance Tech assists the maintenance department with a variety of tasks and activities throughout the summer months. The position involves working primarily in an outdoor environment, performing tasks such as landscaping, irrigation, and general upkeep, with occasional indoor projects related to building maintenance and repairs. The role requires flexibility, as the work can range from physical labor to assisting with the maintenance of airport systems, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Schedule:
<ul>
<li>This is a flexible 2-day-a-week position. We are open to discussing which specific days you work based on your availability and our team's needs.</li>
<li>Able to participate in overnight shifts (6:30PM to 5:00AM) for projects</li>
<li>Opportunity for extra hours depending on staffing levels and projects (must be approved by supervisor or manager)</li>
</ul>

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Grounds Maintenance: Perform landscaping, irrigation, planting, and debris removal from grass areas, rock islands, and the airport perimeter fence, and maintain parking lots. (20%)</li>
<li>General Facility Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and/or remodel buildings, lighting fixtures, furniture, grounds, carpentry, fences, gates, asphalt, and concrete surfaces.</li>
<li>Perform interior and exterior painting. (20%)</li>
<li>Airport Cleanliness: Assist with trash removal throughout the airport grounds and inside the terminal. (10%)</li>
<li>System Support: Assist in the maintenance of airport systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and computer controls. (10%)</li>
<li>Baggage Handling &amp; System Support: Respond to baggage tie-ups/jams; safely load, unload, and position baggage (up to 60 lbs), handling with care; monitor and reset the baggage system as needed; maintain the cleanliness of baggage areas. (15%)</li>
<li>Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with airport staff, tenants, concessionaires, and airport users. (5%)</li>
<li>Observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials safely and reports potentially unsafe conditions. (5%)</li>
<li>Serves the community by demonstrating Eagle County Government mission and core values and following relevant policies and procedures. (5%)</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Minimum Work Experience 
<ul><li>Some relevant work experience is beneficial.</li>
<li>Skill and knowledge to perform routine tasks would be helpful.</li>
</ul></li><li>Preferred Work Experience
<ul><li>One (1) year of experience in physical work involving heavy lifting and carrying.</li>
<li>One (1) year of experience working at an airport.</li>
<li>Experience with mechanical systems, irrigation systems, landscaping, and equipment operation.</li>
</ul></li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and satisfactory motor vehicle check preferred</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Must successfully pass a 10-year background criminal history records check in accordance with TSR, Part 1542 and maintain eligibility for FAA and TSA-mandated security clearance requirements.</li>

<li>Ability to hear normal conversational tones and equipment/emergency alerts.</li>
<li>Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and maintain alertness throughout the workday.</li>
