 POSITION SUMMARY
 
 
 
 We are looking for experienced, passionate, and resourceful mid-level engineers to join our backend teams. As a backend engineer, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and contribute to the design and development of our backend services.
 
 
 This position will be a hybrid role from our Bengaluru office, with 2 days a week in the office as part of our expanding site. EarnIn provides excellent benefits for our employees, including healthcare, internet/cell phone reimbursement, a learning and development stipend, and potential opportunities to travel to our Mountain View HQ. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
 
 
 
 WHAT YOU'LL DO
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design &amp; implement features robust enough for our high scale.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive the implementation of new features&mdash;break complex problems down to their bare essentials, translate that complexity into elegant design, and create high-quality, maintainable code.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and maintain test automation to enable continuous integration and development velocity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design &amp; deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs to drive the interactions between our client applications and backend services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leverage a broad skill set and help us implement and learn new technologies quickly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide and receive design and implementation evaluations and improve with each iteration.
 </li>
 <li>
 Debug production issues across our services infrastructure and multiple levels of our stack.
 </li>
 <li>
 Think about distributed systems &amp; services and care passionately about producing high-quality code.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 3+ years of development experience in Software Engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor's, Master&rsquo;s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in at least one modern programming language such as C#, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, and Scala.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience working with various databases (DynamoDB, MySQL, ElasticSearch) and data pipeline technologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experienced in developing and executing functional and integration tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a bias towards action and results.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architecture is a strong plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in payments/fintech is a plus.
 </li>
