 We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of multiple related companies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and likes solving problems.

 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Accounts Receivable, Banking &amp; Cash Management
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Process customer payments and post transactions accurately in QuickBooks
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and process daily bank deposits
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and business entities
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage Positive Pay, ACH, wire, and check approval processes
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and thoroughly
 </li>
 <li>
 Reconcile and manage multiple company credit cards
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee company credit card maintenance, distribution, and controls
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Accounts Payable &amp; Vendor Management
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage subcontractor payments and required documentation
 </li>
 <li>
 Set up and maintain new vendor accounts
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain vendor relationships and payment schedules
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate vendor files, including W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, and 1099 tracking
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle urgent payment requests, online portal payments, and invoice follow-up
 </li>
 <li>
 Match purchase orders to invoices and investigate discrepancies
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Financial Accounting
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Code transactions and prepare journal entries accurately and consistently
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete monthly account and statement reconciliations for each entity
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accuracy across multiple QuickBooks files and reporting structures
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies proactively
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, and cash management
 </li>
 <li>
 Support quarterly reviews, audits, and year-end financial cleanup
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Process Improvement &amp; Compliance
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial records across all entities
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval processes, and company procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Help improve accounting workflows, systems, and efficiency
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in developing and documenting policies, procedures, and best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Look for opportunities to make processes more efficient and effective
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bookkeeping, accounting, or staff accountant experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting processes
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with QuickBooks required; experience managing multiple entities strongly preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent organization skills and exceptional attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work independently
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 High level of integrity, professionalism, and dependability
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple companies and changing priorities
 </li>
