The system comprises 73 parks spanning across 126,809 acres; 1,250 miles of trails; 55 miles of shoreline. We manage and preserve natural and cultural resources for all to enjoy and protect. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:</b><br>
Under supervision, provides varied visitor services; collects visitor fees and charges; performs unskilled maintenance within the immediate area of a kiosk; and performs related duties as assigned.</div><div><b><br>

Provides information and directions</li><li>
Answers phones</li><li>
Responds to complaints</li><li>
Collects appropriate fees</li><li>
Sells memberships, bait, and tackle</li><li>
Registers campers</li><li>
Maintains professional relations and communications with crews, supervisors, East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) staff, concessionaires, tenants and other agencies</li><li>
Assists with special events and reservations groups</li><li>
Completes daily and monthly revenue reports</li><li>
Balances cash and prepares bank deposit slips</li><li>
Keeps various logs, such as, daily logs, number of visitors, and campground usage</li><li>
Supports Park District staff in responding to emergencies</li><li>
Such as medical events</li><li>
Searches</li><li>
Park fires</li><li>
And other requests for aid</li><li>
Operates radios to provide and coordinate information</li><li>
Provides traffic control</li><li>
Completes medical/incident reports</li><li>
Performs routine maintenance work</li><li>
Including picking up and removing litter</li><li>
Cleaning and stocking restrooms</li><li>
Emptying garbage cans and changing trash liners</li><li>
And removing graffiti within the kiosk area</li><li>
Opens parks</li><li>
Posts emergency signs as directed</li><li>
Protects natural resources</li><li>
Including recognizing and protecting plant life, wildlife, artifacts and structures</li><li>
Assists with removing exotic and non-native plants within the kiosk area</li><li>
Operates Park District vehicles and checks fluids, tires and belts</li><li>
May perform watercraft and trailer inspections</li><li>
And update the inspection database</li><li>
Tracks volunteer hours and maintains paperwork</li><li>
May perform additional maintenance activities requiring lifting as needed</li><li>
Maintains automatic pay station</li><li>
Including troubleshooting maintenance issues</li><li>
Performing audit reports and restocking the machines</li><li>
Creates, edits and revises various documents and spreadsheets</li><li>
Maintains stock of brochures, program flyers and other promotional materials</li><li>
Oversees lost and found</li><li>
May train other staff in customer service, cash handling and cash balancing</li><li>
Monitors contractors, vendors, work crews, other Park District departments and outside agencies entering the regional parks</li><li>
And communicates irregular activity</li><li>
Removes hazards and invasive plants</li><li>
And performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><br>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div><br>

<div><b>Education</b>:<b> </b>Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade,<br>
<b>AND</b><br>
<b>Experience</b>: Six (6) months of paid experience, demonstrating the ability to handle cash and provide quality customer service,<br>

AND</b></div><b>
License or Certificate:</b> Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License is a condition of initial and continued employment in this classification.</div><br>
