We are open to candidates at both the Assistant Manager and Manager levels&mdash;final placement and compensation will depend on experience, leadership ability, and skill set.Position OverviewThe Assistant Manager is a key contributor to daily operations, customer satisfaction, and employee development. Working closely with the Regional Manager, this individual drives store success, ensures compliance, and fosters a positive team culture.Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to)(Scope of duties may vary depending on placement as Assistant Manager or Manager)<ul><li>Support the Regional Manager in reaching sales targets and key performance metrics.</li><li>Guide, train, and coach staff to improve product knowledge and deliver excellent service.</li><li>Develop and manage employee schedules.</li><li>Ensure brand presentation and marketing strategies are consistently executed.</li><li>Oversee compliance and safety protocols in line with Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations.</li><li>Enforce company policies and escalate concerns to leadership as necessary.</li><li>Audit timecards for payroll accuracy.</li><li>Serve as Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts.</li><li>Assist with cash drops and documentation when needed.</li><li>Coordinate courier pickups and ensure precise tracking of cash-related activities.</li><li>Handle customer issues professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Foster strong relationships with both team members and customers.</li><li>Identify and address service and operational challenges.</li><li>Open and close the store following standard operating procedures.</li><li>Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies, reporting findings as required.</li><li>Perform additional duties as directed by the Regional Manager.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Must be at least 21 years old.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in a supervisory role required.</li><li>Bilingual abilities are advantageous.</li><li>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Highly organized with strong time management abilities.</li><li>Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).</li><li>Dependable with reliable transportation.</li><li>Comfortable performing basic math calculations.</li></ul>Physical Demands<ul><li>Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.</li><li>Requires frequent bending, reaching, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and other physical tasks.</li><li>May work with cleaning products and other store-related materials.</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Operates in retail settings, storage areas, vehicles, and delivery locations.</li><li>Conditions may vary between loud, cold, or hot environments.</li><li>Frequent interaction with staff, customers, and occasionally law enforcement.</li><li>High-stress situations may arise occasionally.</li></ul>About Ohana CannabisFounded in 2014 as Ohana Gardens in Sacramento, we began as a cannabis delivery service before launching our first retail location in Emeryville in 2018.
