</div><div>Position Summary<br>
</div><div>The People Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the employee and volunteer lifecycle at EPATT&mdash;from recruitment and onboarding through scheduling, compliance, payroll support, and recordkeeping. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Program Director, this role helps attract, support, and retain a high-quality, mission-driven workforce while ensuring efficient HR operations and an exceptional experience for every employee, tutor, and volunteer.<br>

</div><ul><li>Position: Part-Time</li>
<li>Location: Hybrid (Remote &amp; East Palo Alto)</li>
<li>Hours: 20&ndash;25 hours per week</li>
<li>Compensation: $42&ndash;$44/hour DOE</li>

</ul><div><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br>
</div><div>Recruitment &amp; Hiring<br>
</div><ul><li>Coordinate recruitment for employees, tutors, volunteers, and program support staff.</li>
<li>Develop recruitment strategies using job boards, universities, community organizations, and social media.</li>
<li>Post positions, screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.</li>
Maintain an organized applicant tracking system and build partnerships to strengthen EPATT's hiring pipeline.<br>

</li></ul><div>Onboarding &amp; Staff Experience<br>
</div><div>Lead a welcoming, efficient onboarding process for all employees, tutors, and volunteers.</div>
<ul><li>Collect and verify required employment documentation and create employee records in Salesforce and ADP.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary onboarding contact while continuously improving onboarding systems and processes.</li>
</ul><div>Scheduling &amp; Workforce Coordination<br>
</div><ul><li>Coordinate staff, tutor, and volunteer schedules in partnership with program managers.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate scheduling records and communicate schedule changes.</li>
<li>Resolve scheduling conflicts and help ensure appropriate staffing across all programs.</li>
</ul><div>HR Administration &amp; Compliance<br>
</div><ul><li>Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready personnel files.</li>
<li>Track employment documents, certifications, background checks, work authorizations, and required trainings.</li>
<li>Coordinate background checks and monitor compliance with California and federal employment regulations.</li>
<li>Support development and maintenance of HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.</li>
<li>Document and escalate personnel concerns as appropriate.</li>
</ul><div>Payroll &amp; Timekeeping<br>
</div><ul><li>Process bi-weekly timesheets and tutor session logs through ADP.</li>
<li>Reconcile payroll records, investigate discrepancies, and support payroll accuracy.</li>
<li>Respond to employee payroll questions and maintain payroll reports and documentation.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws for employees and independent contractors.</li>
</ul><div>Operations Support<br>
</div><ul><li>Provide excellent customer service to employees, tutors, and volunteers.</li>
<li>Generate workforce reports using Salesforce, Excel, and Google Sheets.</li>
<li>Recommend improvements to HR systems, workflows, and processes.</li>
<li>Support organizational initiatives and special projects as assigned.</li>
</ul><div>Required Qualifications<br>
</div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum two years of experience in HR, operations, or program coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or education setting.</li>
<li>Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration.</li>
<li>Strong technology skills with proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM), ADP (or comparable payroll platform), and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.</li>
<li>Knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including I-9 compliance and wage and hour regulations.</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small, mission-driven team.</li>
</ul><div>Preferred Qualifications<br>
</div><ul><li>Experience supporting K&ndash;12 or youth-serving organizations.</li>
<li>Experience coordinating volunteers.</li>
<li>Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or additional HRIS platforms.</li>

<li>Providing exceptional service and communication to staff throughout their employment experience.</li>
<li>Creating systems that are proactive, transparent, and continuously improving.</li>
