We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team!Job SummaryThe East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled, passionate, dynamic and experienced Dance Coach to provide in-class instruction in jazz and modern dance. Throughout the school year, the coach will work alongside a credentialed teacher at District High Schools, supporting the school&rsquo;s intermediate, advanced, and company-level classes. This role includes instruction, rehearsal preparation, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to high-quality dance education for a diverse student body.Requirements / Qualifications
 
 
 Qualifications/Certifications:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proven experience in teaching and choreographing jazz and at least one other genre (jazz, tap, ballet, or hip hop)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience teaching high school-aged students in an educational or studio setting
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong classroom management and culturally responsive teaching practices Preferred Qualifications:
 </li>
 <li>
 Degree or formal training in Dance or Performing Arts
 </li>
 <li>
 Bilingual or multilingual preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with public school arts programs and working with diverse student populations
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>

 Deliver in-class dance coaching in collaboration with site dance teacher
 </li>
 <li>
 Teach technical skills, choreography, and performance readiness in jazz and additional genres (hip hop, ballet, tap, modern)
 </li>
 <li>
 Choreograph or support student choreography for school productions and district events
 </li>
 <li>
 Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend and assist in tech rehearsals and performances.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate effectively with site staff, students, and families as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Support costume planning, rehearsal management, and show logistics Other Duties/Responsibilities:
 </li>
 <li>
 Person serving in this capacity would be assigned to District Dance courses
 </li>
 <li>
 May need to teach at multiple sites to meet requirement of base assignment Key Tasks/Duties:
