Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Basic Education Tutor at our 1601 West Main Street campus in Mesa, AZ 85201. This is a part-time position, working Monday - Thursday 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.</b></div><div><b>
Job Summary:</b><br>
Under limited supervision, the Adult Basic Education Tutor will help teach academic subjects such as: English, Mathematics, Science, and History to adult age students. The Adult Basic Education Tutor will meet regularly with students who need help academically and help the students improve their: study skills, organizational skills, test taking skills, note taking skills and time management skills. This position may teach in a classroom setting, study room, library, online or a hybrid setting. The ultimate goal of the tutor is to help improve the student's improve their academic success and help them reach their full potential.<br>

<b>Job Type: </b>Part Time, 10 hours per week. <b>This is a grant funded position.</b><br>
<br>
<b>Salary: </b>$23.00 per hour<br>
<br>
<b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
High School Diploma Education or equivalent.</li><li>
Strong passion for helping others.</li><li>
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints IVP Level 1 fingerprint card - Must be obtained prior to start date.</li><li>
Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957<b>.</b></li></ul><div><b><br>
Preferred Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
Experience tutoring/mentoring adults who are academically challenged and/or at-risk learners.</li><li>
Foster and/or HSE/GED background</li></ul><div><b><br>
