DIESEL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Position Summary
Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to support operations at our Phoenix, AZ location. This role is a hybrid position responsible for performing intermediate-level diesel mechanical service and commercial tire repair in a fast-paced, industrial shop environment. The Diesel Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of fleet vehicles and equipment.
The ideal candidate possesses hands-on diesel service experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and working knowledge of commercial tire systems. This position requires independence, attention to detail, and the ability to execute preventative maintenance and repairs while supporting shop efficiency and operational uptime.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Perform diesel service and intermediate-level mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering components, belts, hoses, batteries, and basic drivability concerns.</li><li>
Conduct commercial tire services including mounting, dismounting, balancing, repairing, rotating, and replacing tires on diesel trucks, trailers, and applicable fleet equipment.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid inspections, filter replacements, and multi-point vehicle inspections.</li><li>
Diagnose mechanical and tire-related issues using visual inspections, service documentation, and basic diagnostic tools.</li><li>
Accurately document repairs, labor, and parts usage in work orders or electronic maintenance systems.</li><li>
Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety concerns and report deficiencies to shop leadership promptly.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.</li><li>
Assist with inventory control related to tires, parts, tools, and shop supplies.</li><li>
Coordinate with service writers, shop management, and operations staff to support efficient workflow and job prioritization.</li><li>
Follow all environmental, safety, and operational policies and procedures.</li><li>
Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to shop efficiency, service quality, and safety performance.</li><li>
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned based on operational needs.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>
Minimum of 2&ndash;4 years of hands-on diesel service or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with commercial tire service and repair.</li><li>
Working knowledge of diesel vehicle systems including braking, suspension, steering, and preventative maintenance.</li><li>
Ability to safely operate tire machines, balancers, hand tools, power tools, and standard shop equipment.</li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality workmanship.</li><li>
Ability to read and follow work orders, service procedures, and safety guidelines.</li><li>
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.</li><li>
Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and professional attitude.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license required; clean driving record preferred.</li><li>
ASE certifications, air brake knowledge, or CDL experience are a plus but not required.</li></ul>
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors<ul><li>
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and use hands and arms for extended periods.</li><li>
Frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.</li><li>
Work is performed in a shop and yard environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, weather conditions, and industrial equipment.</li><li>
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</li></ul>
Compensation
The Diesel Service Technician position offers an hourly compensation range of $28.00 to $45.00 per hour, dependent upon experience, skill level, and qualifications. Position Summary
Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Subrogation Specialist to join our Claims Department. Reporting directly to the Claims Manager, the Subrogation Specialist will be responsible for investigating and pursuing subrogation opportunities to recover claim payments made by Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. The ideal candidate will possess prior trucking/commercial transportation claims experience and will play a vital role in minimizing financial loss and optimizing recovery efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Investigate and evaluate subrogation potential for claims involving third-party liability.</li><li>
Communicate with insurance companies, attorneys, and other involved parties to negotiate and settle subrogation claims.</li><li>
Analyze claim documents, police reports, and other relevant information to determine liability and recoverable damages.</li><li>
Prepare and submit subrogation demands and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>
Monitor and track subrogation claims through the entire recovery process, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal Claims Department staff to identify potential subrogation opportunities and strategies.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of subrogation activities, including documentation of communications and settlement agreements.</li><li>
Provide regular updates and reports on subrogation efforts to the Claims Manager and other stakeholders as needed.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills<ul><li>
Previous Trucking/Commercial Transportation claims/subrogation experience HIGHLY PREFERRED</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance claims handling or subrogation recovery REQUIRED</li><li>
Strong understanding of insurance principles, subrogation laws, and claims processes</li><li>
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal REQUIRED</li><li>
Ability to analyze complex claim information and make sound decisions regarding subrogation opportunities</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word REQUIRED</li><li>
Experience with claims management software PREFERRED</li><li>
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills REQUIRED</li></ul>

Compensation
The Subrogation Specialist position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
