About The RoleAs an Infrastructure Engineer you will play a key role in supporting the operation of Ecotricity. You will be responsible for maintaining and implementing solutions within a cloud-first hybrid infrastructure environment. The role will focus on supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure, migration projects, resilience, and operational excellence.The successful candidate will work alongside senior engineers modernising infrastructure services, supporting cloud adoption, improving security and reliability, and ensuring robust business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and requests in the infrastructure ticket queues.</li><li>Maintain infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments.</li><li>Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.</li><li>Support on-premises to cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and optimisation.</li><li>Manage and support Microsoft 365/Entra ID</li><li>Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and operational best practices are followed.</li><li>Maintain and improve networking infrastructure, following Zero Trust principles.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with the Cyber team to remediate vulnerabilities and harden system configurations.</li></ul>About YouRequired Skills &amp; Experience Essential <ul><li>Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure services.</li><li>Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure environments and on-prem to cloud migrations.</li><li>Experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender environments.</li><li>Strong networking knowledge including DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams.</li></ul>Desirable <ul><li>Experience using Terraform for infrastructure automation and provisioning.</li><li>Experience implementing or supporting business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.</li><li>Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python.</li><li>Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, M365, Terraform, Networking, etc.).</li></ul>Personal Attributes <ul><li>Proactive, within the initiative to identify and tackle problems.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.</li><li>Keen interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and documentation standards.</li></ul>About UsWhat's in it for you...Healthcare plan, life assurance and generous pension contribution Volunteering Day Hybrid Working Various company discounts (including shops, gyms, days out and events) Holiday of 25 days (plus bank holidays) &amp; ability to buy/sell days Cycle to work scheme, car pooling and onsite parking availableAs a valued member of the team, you will be supporting the Group Environmental Policy and its associated sustainability objectives and targets.Flexibility StatementThe fast moving nature of the business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis.
