Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager to join our team. This role performs specific field tasks assigned per project by more senior staff. Your growth in responsibility will come with time and experience. This work will be field based with limited office work as experience is gained. An ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.</div><div>
As</div><div><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects</li><li>
Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested</li><li>
Interface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites daily</li><li>
Keep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites.</li><li>
Scheduling, training and oversight of environmental technicians.</li><li>
Initiate project set up and implementation under the direct supervision of senior staff</li><li>
Good understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation sample hold times and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.</li><li>
Clearly document site observations for field work performed and submit daily reports</li><li>
Communicate changing site conditions to supervisor and discuss their implications on field investigations. Implement investigation changes in the field as directed by your supervisor</li><li>
Work with senior staff to develop an understanding of the relation of field observations and sample results to findings and conclusions in the report</li><li>
Assist on Groundwater and soil investigations and media sampling.</li><li>
Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site access with senior oversight</li><li>
Assist with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance.</li><li>
Assist with underground storage tank assessments.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications</b></div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting</div></li><li><div>
No experience needed</div></li><li>
If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver&rsquo;s license is required</li></ul><div><b>
Skills and Abilities</b></div><ul><li>
Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods</li><li>
Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.</li><li>
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains.</li></ul><div><b>

Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our Roanoke team. We offer opportunities for growth in this role with additional incentives as you earn your certifications. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks in our concrete laboratory.</div><div><b>
Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li><b>
Laboratory Activities</b>: Perform specific tasks associated with conducting laboratory testing on construction materials for various projects under the supervision of senior technicians and other lab staff.</li><li><b>
Laboratory Safety and Compliance</b>: Conduct routine laboratory tests using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance; Assist with tasks to maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness in compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives to maintain accreditation compliance; Tasks may include calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment following the manufacturer&rsquo;s schedule and records; Notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed.</li><li><b>
Concrete Testing</b>: Conduct routine laboratory tests for concrete including labeling and setting samples for curing, monitoring temperature logs, and breaking of samples.</li><li><b>
Data Collection</b>: Perform calculations and data reduction based on test results; Demonstrate competency of testing methods by documenting results accurately; May perform administrative duties as requested.</li></ul><div><b>

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
No experience required.</li><li>
High school diploma or GED.</li><li>
Must be willing to obtain and maintain laboratory certifications for concrete.</li><li>
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.</li><li>
Must have valid driver's license and insurance.</li><li>
Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT laboratory equipment, testing methods, and ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, or both.</li><li>
Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).</li><li>
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.</li></ul><div><b>
