Position Description</b></h1><p>
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, client-facing Clinical Informaticist with demonstrated expertise in Oracle Health (Cerner) electronic health record (EHR) implementations to join our fast-paced and mission-driven team. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to our clients and their end users, delivering hands-on, solution-based informatics support across the entire implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, an expert-level understanding of the Cerner model, and the proven ability to assess, recommend, and clearly articulate both system and workflow changes that drive meaningful results.
</p><p>This role is ideal for an informaticist with a strong track record of success across both public and private sector deployments, especially those involving complex enterprise environments such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In addition to deep expertise with the Cerner product, the individual must be able to drive high‑stakes conversations with senior and executive‑level leaders, confidently translate complex clinical and technical concepts into clear strategic direction, and establish trust at the highest organizational levels.</p><p>
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop, communicate, and execute strategic informatics plans; guide multidisciplinary teams; and anticipate risks or gaps that may affect deployment success. Deep implementation experience particularly across global, multiregional, or enterprise-wide EHR programs is essential.</p><p><br>
While Cerner build experience is highly preferred, a strong foundational knowledge of configuration principles is required to make informed design decisions and collaborate effectively with build teams. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in at least two Cerner solution areas and be capable of integrating that knowledge into both system configuration and workflow alignment. A well-established professional reputation for collaboration with EHR vendors and cross-functional teams is essential.<br>

Type of Employment: </b>Full-Time salaried and fully benefited position</p><p><b>
Work Location/Travel: </b>Significant Travel is expected and applicants should be free from travel restrictions.
</p><p><b>Salary Range: </b>$119,000 and $151,000 base salary, depending on experience and location. Competitive salary/pay, potential for bonuses. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is highly competitive but dependent upon employment type (1099, contract, W2).</p><p><b>

Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li>
Lead high-level strategic discussions with senior executives, clearly articulating solution design, workflow impacts, and long-term system considerations.</li><li>
Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor, confidently guiding clients through complex decision points and change management challenges.</li><li>
Apply extensive implementation experience to anticipate system-wide impacts, mitigate risks, and ensure successful deployment across diverse operational environments.</li><li>
Drive cross-functional collaboration efforts, influencing stakeholders at all levels to align on priorities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.</li></ul><ul><li>
Present, maintain, and secure approval for workflow documentation, including Workflow Designer, DCWs, and DDMs.</li><li>
Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT); gather feedback, identify pain points, and research viable solutions.</li><li>
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop targeted training materials that improve user readiness.</li><li>
Offer informed, solution-based recommendations; present findings to stakeholders and document areas requiring further design.</li><li>
Review, prioritize, and define requirements for change requests (CRs); validate configuration and ensure alignment with operational goals.</li><li>
Assess the downstream impacts of approved changes on workflows, training, and communications; develop or update materials as needed.</li><li>
Coordinate with client and their end users on enterprise-wide changes and communicate outcomes effectively to informatics teams.</li><li>
Conduct workflow impact analyses and present to targeted stakeholders, including executives as needed.
</li><li>Leveraging knowledge and wisdom, advocate for solution designs, promoting enterprise standardization while recognizing operational complexity.</li><li>
Identify future-state improvement opportunities through active field engagement and contribute to the evolving solution roadmap.</li></ul><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Knowledge and Skills Required:</b><b>
</b></h2><ul><li>In-depth understanding of the Oracle Health (Cerner) electronic health record system, including associated applications and functionality across the implementation lifecycle.</li><li>
Demonstrated problem-solving expertise, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and recommend scalable, system-aligned solutions based on current and emerging capabilities.</li><li>
Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, documentation integrity, and compliance with implementation standards.</li><li>
