Position Overview:</b></div><div>
The Configuration Management and Information Technologist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving configuration management processes, information systems, and technology infrastructure. This role ensures that hardware, software, documentation, and system configurations are accurately controlled, tracked, and maintained throughout their lifecycle. The position also supports information technology operations, data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and system performance optimization.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul>
<li>Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, servers, networks, and software applications.
</li><li>Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
</li><li>Provide technical support and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
</li><li>Ensure data security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures are in place.
</li><li>Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability assessments, and compliance requirements.
</li><li>Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.</li>
<li>Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and system procedures.
</li><li>Generate reports on configuration status, system performance, and compliance metrics.</li><br>
</ul><div></div><div><b>Qualifications:</b></div><ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Information Technology, or, equivalent amount of experience
</li><li>10+ years of experienced in information technology and information systems
</li><li>Extensive experience providing support for hardware, software and network systems is required</li><br>

Work Location:</b> Hybrid-Remote &ndash; On-Site at LANL (TA55 &ndash; PF4)</div><div><b>
Group/Organization:</b> ALDPI/Pi-Proj</div><div><b>
Schedule:</b> 4-12s, but also may be adjusted to align with subcontractor work schedules. (Potential On Call and OT)</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Summary:</b></div><div>
The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for the management of daily tasks required to perform ongoing support of design, construction, startup, and/or operations/ maintenance activities of complex high hazard systems or projects.</div><div><br>
</div><div><b>Duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to:</b></div><ul><li>Renders expert opinions towards Radiation Protection and technical issues, provides recommendations to project design, work control, and construction teams in specific areas of expertise.
</li><li>Provides independent reviews and assessments in areas of specialized expertise and provides guidance to project teams in delivering results on projects of complex, high- technology nature.
</li><li>Interfaces with management personnel and customer representatives.
</li><li>Develops and enforces work standards, assigns schedules, reviews work quality, communicates goals, objectives, and policies of the organization to subordinates.
</li><li>Provides leadership for the project team, coordinates with the functional organizations, and supervises senior personnel within the project organization.</li></ul><div><br>
</div><div><b>Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in an engineering or technical discipline or combination of education and relevant experience without a degree.</li><li>Eight (8) years of relevant experience, five (5) years of directly applicable experience in Radiation Protection and/or work planning in a DOE Cat 2 nuclear facility.
</li><li>US Nuclear Navy experience, DOE Plutonium facility experience, and strong conduct of operations knowledge highly desired.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance.</li><br>
