<p>Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid) opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.<br/></p><p>Work Location: 80% Onsite/20% Remote (SRS)<br/></p><p>Application Deadline: 12/10/25 (by Noon ET)<br/></p><p>Senior Software Engineer-<br/></p><p>Duties:<br/></p><p>Keeps assigned applications operational by testing product upgrades, providing customer support and problem-solving customer issues.<br/>Plans for information systems and services from a perspective of application design, development, installation, or database administration in accordance with SRNS IT processes and procedures.<br/>Provides tactical design, engineering, technical specifications, project coordination, and configuration management for moderately complex IT solutions.<br/>Assists more senior technical personnel in performing related activities in moderately complex tasks.<br/>Work closely with the Software Professional Lead and the customer/owner to understand and apply your knowledge of the functional and system requirements.<br/>Maintain technical expertise in assigned emphasis areas and demonstrate flexibility in multiple disciplines.<br/>Proactively communicate and coordinate with others across IT to provide support for assigned areas.<br/>Perform other tasks associated with application development lifecycle, commercial off the shelf software support and database administration<br/>Perform root cause analysis and outline corrective action for complex problems.<br/>Ensure continued service of customer applications through prompt correction of system or program malfunctions and applying a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities.<br/>Master software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, change management, vulnerability scanning, and debuggers in the software development process.<br/>Guide personnel to ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to technical standards, lead the analysis and development of requirements, design specs, and final products by reviewing systems documentation, plans, and schedules produced by less experienced personnel.<br/>Train less experienced personnel in the development of requirements, specifications, technical products and existing business processes.<br/>Lead moderate sized initiatives and projects by establishing tasks, priorities, milestones, cost estimates, and schedules.<br/>Conduct feasibility studies of automation opportunities and establish cost benefit parameters.<br/>Develop test plans and execute these plans to ensure that the software is correct.<br/>Participate in validation and efficiency reviews of completed program code.<br/>Review policies and procedures for technical accuracy.<br/>Participate in cross-functional IT teams.<br/>Evaluate new requests, offer suggestions to improve, provide comments and estimate level of effort for moderately complex IT solutions.<br/>Provide support for the software infrastructure associated with the system environments.<br/>Maintain cyber posture and compliance required to maintain federal authority to operate.<br/>Perform installations and upgrades to software and databases for maintaining vendor support and strategic agility.<br/>Plan for future requirements of database systems, to include disaster recovery needs and storage requirements.<br/>Protect operations by keeping information confidential.<br/></p><p>Education/Yrs. of Experience:<br/></p><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in an IT related discipline with 5 years&rsquo; proven performance in related assignments; or Non-related Bachelor degree with 7 years proven performance in related assignment(s). Associate Degree in IT related discipline with 7 years proven performance in related assignment(s); or Non-related Associate Degree with 9 years proven performance in related assignment(s). In lieu of degree, a HS diploma with typically at least 11 years of equivalent knowledge and experience is acceptable.<br/></p><p>Skills/Experience:<br/></p><p>Demonstrates an applied understanding of computer languages, software development fundamentals/methodology and database infrastructure.<br/>Demonstrates programming skills that include analyzing information, software design, requirements, testing, documentation, problem solving, debugging and software development fundamentals/methodology.<br/>Demonstrate proficiency and experience necessary to develop moderately complex software.<br/>Demonstrates ability to utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, change management, scanning, and debuggers in the software development process.<br/>Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision to complete projects in a timely manner, make time for unplanned assignments and adapt to changing priorities.<br/>Must demonstrate experience participating in systems engineering teams, with responsibilities including software engineering and program development to support systems engineering initiatives.<br/>Knowledge of the academic as well as the practical aspects of Software Engineering is required.<br/>Ongoing technical development in Software Engineering is required.<br/>Understands and applies advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques; has working knowledge of standard software engineering practices and applications.<br/>Fluent with JavaScript, VB, C+, and / or Python.<br/></p><p>Preferred Qualifications:<br/></p><p>Experience developing Rational DOORS Requirements Management Extensions.<br/>Prior SRS experience and working knowledge of SRNS processes and procedures.<br/>Prior DOE experience and working knowledge of DOE processes and procedures.<br/>Possessed an active clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years.<br/></p><p>Other Job Requirements:<br/></p><p>Must be a U.S. Citizen<br/>Occasional travel<br/>Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE &ldquo;Q&rdquo; security clearance (an active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties).<br/></p><p>If you are interested in being considered for this position, please follow the application steps via our website: www.edgewatertech.net/careers<br/></p><p>Edgewater Technical Associates will not submit your resume without first having detailed discussions with you and obtaining your permission to do so. Summary:</b></div><div>
The Construction Superintendent team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory invites candidates to apply for a Project Manager 2/ Superintendent 3 to lead projects while working to achieve Lab missions.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Duties:</b></div><ul>
<li>The Project Manager 2/Superintendent 3 will be responsible for and lead projects of $500k or less and provide oversight to Superintendent 2s as necessary.</li>
<li>May initiate the investigation of abnormal events, incidents, and /or accidents to identify the root cause and assist in implementing appropriate corrective actions.</li>
<li>May serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) responsible for planning, budgeting, managing, and controlling costs and schedule performance for a project or subproject, and serve as a point of contact for project controls, including account scope, schedule, budget, and technical performance.</li>
<li>Ensure work packages realistically represent the duration and budget necessary to perform work and perform variance analysis reviews, determine cause an effect of schedule or cost variance, and define achievable corrective action plans.</li>
<li>May be required to present project management performance plans, status updates, trends or issues to federal sponsors.</li></ul><div><br>
</div><div><b>Qualifications:
</b></div><ul><li>Recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in project management, and ten (10) years work experience.</li>
<li>5+ years experience in at least one of the following functions: engineering, procurement, and construction, leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above, or any combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>10 years minimum Nuclear project experience required.</li>
<li>Proven leadership and management skills (organize, direct, control) a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.</li>
<li>Advanced experience managing construction projects including proactively managing project scope, schedule, and budget including Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience identifying project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions, and recommending risk acceptance/avoidance for all aspects of a project.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of all phases and complexity levels of construction projects, upgrades, renovations, and D&amp;D.</li>
<li>Lead constructability reviews of the design process and the potential impacts to construction cost and schedule.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge and experience with facility maintenance and/or construction management including systems engineering design and maintenance, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control, and facility control systems.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge and understanding of collective bargaining agreements related to all trades.</li>
<li>Extensive understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong and effective customer engagement.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience interfacing with program, project, and line management to develop clear and executable action plans to address issues or needs.</li>
<li>Provide personal leadership, direction, and technical advice regarding health, safety, and environmental compliance.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience and skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and establishing a recovery Plan/Path forward.</li>
<li>Ability to determine actions to be performed on problems affecting maintenance programs.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that includes reporting on project status to senior level management, project stakeholders, as well as regulatory inquiries.</li>
<li>Demonstrated skill in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking job activities including the coordination of materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.</li>
<li>Ability to promote an open communication environment to develop mutual trust and teamwork.</li></ul><div><br>
