Educare Services, Inc.JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: Preschool Associate TeacherIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Site SupervisorOBJECTIVES:To administer classroom curriculum as stipulated by Site Supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Administers all phases of the program, with respect to educational, social, and health needs of the child.</li><li>Plans and prepares classroom materials.</li><li>Makes a continued effort at professional growth by attending all in-service training meetings.</li><li>Attends all parent meetings as scheduled by the Site Supervisor</li><li>Promotes active parent involvement.</li><li>Plans on-site field trips to enhance the curriculum.</li><li>Adheres to early childhood education philosophy with respect to teaching techniques.</li><li>Works closely with Site Supervisor to assure satisfactory progress of each child in the program.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor.</li></ul>MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Hold a Valid Associate Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credential or</li><li>Completion of 12 Child Development Units and proof of Associate Permit Application submitted.</li><li>Actively participate in all required CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) trainings and apply CLASS principles, strategies, and best practices consistently within their classroom environment.</li><li>Maintain a valid permit.</li><li>One year working experience in early childhood education or related field.</li><li>Signed statement of acknowledging requirement to report suspected child abuse.</li><li>Physical exam &amp; T.B. Clearance</li><li>Proof of Immunizations: Influenza, pertussis, and measles or a medical waiver as per Health</li></ul>&amp; Safety Code 1596.7995 effective September 1, 2016.<ul><li>Fingerprint Clearance (Background Check)</li><li>Professional demeanor that establishes a desirable example for children.</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, bending, pushing and pulling, sitting and ability to lift 40 pounds.</li><li>Speaking and hearing to exchange information.</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: From $24.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Early childhood education: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
