Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English As A Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English to non-native speakers and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing tailored support to meet the diverse needs of our students.Responsibilities<ul><li>Design and implement effective ESL curriculum that caters to various learning styles and proficiency levels.</li><li>Develop lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and language skills.</li><li>Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement.</li><li>Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.</li><li>Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a supportive environment for all learners.</li><li>Mentor students in their language acquisition journey, offering guidance and support as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and classroom management strategies.</li><li>Provide tutoring and additional support for students requiring extra assistance.</li><li>Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ESL education.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience working with students, particularly in an ESL setting.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.</li><li>Experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques.</li><li>Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school experience is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate physical education when appropriate.</li><li>Proficiency in proofreading, writing skills, and curriculum development is essential.</li><li>Experience with library services and early intervention strategies is beneficial.
