<div>Cooney Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a Respiratory Therapist/Nurse to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team!
Respiratory Therapist(s) with at least 1 year of experience with Tracheostomy AND ventilator management/experience.
Respiratory Therapist/Nurse Responsibilities
Respiratory Therapists are generally responsible for the following duties:<ul><li>
Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies through to the elderly</li><li>
Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans</li><li>
Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment, like when caring for patients in intensive care</li><li>
Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity</li><li>
Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy</li><li>
Connect patients who can&rsquo;t breathe to a ventilator</li><li>
Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication</li><li>
Regularly check on patients and equipment</li></ul> 
Respiratory Therapist/Nurse Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>

Respiratory Therapist/Nurse Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree with major in Respiratory Therapy</li><li>
Six months of experience within in the last two years or completion of a clinical rotation within the last year in critical care/intensive care environment, to include care of respiratory needs of acutely ill patients</li><li>
Valid state Respiratory Therapist license (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)</li><li>
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (must obtain within 3 months of hire)</li><li>
Certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)</li><li>
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification</li></ul>

Respiratory Therapist/Nurse

The Transportation Driver will transport residents to appointments, various individual and group activities.
**Daily Pay Available**
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provide primarily medically necessary transportation in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.</li><li>
Safely secure residents' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.</li><li>
Report resident medical issues in timely manner.</li><li>
Implement transportation schedule and notify nursing and Unit managers of schedule conflicts and/or issues.</li><li>
Notify supervisor when equipment in need of maintenance or repair.</li><li>
Notify supervisor when there are unresolved conflicts with scheduling.</li><li>
Cleaning the interior of the van on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of residents.</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
CNA (required in some states)</li><li>
Must have a valid state drivers&rsquo; license.</li><li>
Proof of Insurance.</li><li>
Must have satisfactory, safe driving record.</li><li>
Must be at least 21 years old.</li></ul>
Physical Demands<ul><li>
Required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, see, talk and hear. Employee may be required at times to push/pull residents in wheelchairs weighing between 100-300 lbs, including assisting ambulatory residents with entering/exiting the vehicle.</li></ul>
