As a Book Publishing Design Intern, you will play a key role in crafting visually compelling book covers and marketing assets that bring stories to life and captivate readers. This role offers a unique chance to build your design portfolio, expand your industry knowledge, and contribute to impactful publishing projects for diverse audiences worldwide.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in the design and development of book covers, including front covers, full wraps, and eBook formats.</li><li>Create and refine visual assets for marketing campaigns, including social media graphics, promotional materials, and advertisements.</li><li>Collaborate with editors, authors, and marketing teams to translate manuscript themes into engaging visual concepts.</li><li>Support the preparation of print-ready and digital files, ensuring designs meet publishing specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Conduct research on current design trends in publishing, including typography, layout, and genre-specific aesthetics.</li><li>Organize and maintain design files, templates, and project assets.</li><li>Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative concepts for upcoming titles and campaigns.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program related to Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Publishing, Communications, or a similar field. Experience may substitute this requirement.</li><li>Previous graphic design experience is required.</li><li>Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or equivalent software.</li><li>Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles.</li><li>Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment.</li><li>Passion for books and interest in the publishing industry.</li><li>A portfolio of previous design work may be requested by the hiring manager.</li></ul>This internship is perfect for creative individuals looking to launch their careers in publishing design while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.
