<div>As an I&amp;C Designer at Eichleay you will work within multi-disciplinary project teams to complete the design of I&amp;C scope for various and diverse projects. Instrument Designers may work on several various sized projects at a time under the direction of senior Design and/or Engineering staff, developing and revising details and drawings. You will coordinate and consult with senior Designers and/or Engineers in developing designs, layouts, installation details, conduit and wiring, schematic and system drawings that will be used for completion of construction work packages.

Travel is required as needed for occasional onsite field visits to collaborate closely with our onsite team and our clients.

Compensation: $40 - 60 per hour *anticipated hourly rate may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Support development of Instrument Index, I/O List, and design deliverables including loop diagrams, conduit and wiring diagrams, schematics and location plans.</li>
<li>Support development of Material Take Offs.</li>
<li>Perform job walks and site visits, assisting scope development and supporting IFC (construction) package completion.</li>
<li>May be asked to support construction activities.</li>
<li>Effectively interacts with all levels of employees and clients.</li>
<li>Willingness to follow directions and guidance from senior Design and Engineering staff.</li>
<li>Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, safety, and environmental issues. Addresses those issues as necessary to ensure zero harm to all employees, clients, and contractors.</li>
<li>Ability to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required.</li>
<li>Adheres to required processes and embraces opportunities for continuous improvement.</li>

Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>5 years or more of related experience, Associate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is preferred, or specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, computer modeling and reading drawings.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Electrical Design activities and deliverables.</li>
<li>Experience in refining and/or heavy industrial industries</li>
<li>Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience with AutoCAD. MicroStation, Smart Plant (SPI) and/or Smart Instrumentation (SI) experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Suite.</li>
<li>Familiar with industry standards including NFPA/NEC, IEEE/IES, ISA, API, ASME and ANSI is a plus.</li>
<li>TWIC certification and current card or ability to obtain.</li>
<li>Ability to work onsite at a refinery or industrial facility.</li>
<li>Must be able to participate in field job walks and site visits which may include climbing enclosed ladders and stairs and working on enclosed platforms.</li>
<li>Ability to be badged for process safety management governed facilities, which will require pre-hire substance abuse screening and random substance abuse screening thereafter.</li>

Instrumentation & Controls Designer

<div>We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our team at Eichleay. This is a full-time position which offers a competitive compensation and benefits package with a 401K match. As a member of the electrical team, you will work in a collaborative multi-discipline environment and report into the Electrical Team Lead. We offer flexible work schedules including every other Friday off and the ability to periodically work from a home office.

In this role, you will support multi-disciplinary engineering and project teams by preparing and revising detailed drawings using Computer-Aided Drafting Systems (CAD). You will work with Eichleay teams to develop electrical designs, layouts, and system components, ensuring alignment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Electrical Design Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Develop electrical design packages for refinery electrical systems that meet client and site standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with various disciplines to determine scope for refinery process systems up to 480V and 5kV motor control circuits, meeting electrical engineering and maintenance expectations. Provide field construction support as required.</li>
<li>Design 120V to 35kV power distribution systems with limited engineering guidance.</li>
<li>Work with engineering to develop basis of design packages and support engineering studies.</li>
<li>Understand site processes and procedures to provide design support at all project phases, from feasibility scoping to as built.</li>
</ul>
Job Requirements:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of related work experience.</li>
<li>Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, Excel, and Word to assist in the creation of comprehensive construction packages for field electrical work, including detailed work summaries, drawings, data sheets, nameplate schedules, and other essential documentation.</li>
<li>Knowledge and ability in reading and drawing schematics, grounding, area classification drawings, power distribution, and area lighting design.</li>
<li>Knowledge of NEC codes and ability to calculate wire fills and conduit routing.</li>
<li>Familiar with NFPA, ISA, IEEE, API, and OSHA Standards.</li>
<li>Associate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; or specialized courses in design, electronics, electrical; or Certificate from an Electrical Technical School or equivalent.</li>
<li>Ability to be badged for PSM-governed facilities, requiring a TWIC card and in-depth drug screening.</li>
<li>Ability to evaluate equipment in the field, including climbing ladders and flights of stairs.</li>
</ul>
