</div></div></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ShireSystem, part of Eleco Asset Management, is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability and stability of a mission-critical CMMS platform used by organisations to manage maintenance operations, asset performance, compliance and safety-related processes.</b></h2>
</div></div></div><div><div><div><p>This is a senior, hands-on quality engineering role within a growing R&amp;D team. You&rsquo;ll work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps and customer-facing teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle &mdash; from planning and automation through to release readiness, regression prevention and production support.</p>
<p>
The platform supports customers in <b>asset-intensive and regulated environments</b>, so quality here is about much more than UI testing alone. We&rsquo;re looking for someone who can think broadly about quality across <b>enterprise workflows, integrations, data integrity, performance, reliability and risk</b>. We also want someone who is comfortable working in an engineering environment where <b>AI-enabled solutions and AI-assisted ways of working</b> are becoming increasingly important.</p>
</div></div></div><div><div>What you'll be doing
<div><div><div><p>As Senior Quality Engineer, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in strengthening quality across the platform and helping the wider team deliver robust, dependable software. You&rsquo;ll:</p>
<ul>
<li>Design and oversee test strategies, test plans and test cases aligned to both business and technical requirements</li>
<li>Lead functional, regression, integration and system testing across core product areas</li>
<li>Drive the development and maintenance of <b>automated test suites</b>, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines and improving test coverage over time</li>
<li>Support testing across complex workflows involving <b>APIs, databases, mobile applications and third-party / enterprise integrations</b></li>
<li>Plan and execute <b>performance, load and stress testing</b> to help ensure scalability and reliability</li>
<li>Lead defect triage, prioritisation, root-cause analysis and verification of fixes</li>
<li>Work closely with developers, product managers and DevOps teams to translate requirements into effective test coverage and meaningful quality reporting</li>
<li>Help validate areas such as <b>security controls, role-based access, auditability and data protection</b>, particularly where the platform supports regulated environments</li>
<li>Improve QA practices through approaches such as <b>shift-left testing, risk-based testing and feedback loops from production issues</b></li>
<li>Support release and production activities, including deployment validation, post-release monitoring and issue investigation</li>
<li>Mentor and support other QA engineers, helping to raise standards and strengthen quality practices across the team</li>

<div><div><div><p>We&rsquo;re looking for a quality engineer who combines strong technical testing capability with a broader quality mindset and the confidence to operate in a complex enterprise software environment.</p>
<p>
We&rsquo;d particularly like to hear from people with experience in:</p>
<ul>
<li><b>Senior QA / Quality Engineering roles</b> within software product teams</li>
<li>Designing and executing <b>risk-based test strategies</b> for enterprise systems</li>
<li>Building or maintaining <b>test automation frameworks</b> and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines</li>
<li>Testing <b>APIs, integrations, SQL / databases and data-heavy workflows</b></li>
<li>Defect investigation, root-cause analysis, regression prevention and release-readiness support</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with developers, product and DevOps teams in Agile environments</li>
<li>Leading quality initiatives, mentoring less experienced QA engineers and improving QA processes</li>
<li>Working with large, integrated software products such as <b>CMMS, ERP, SaaS or other complex B2B platforms</b></li>
<li>Performance, scalability and reliability testing in production-focused software environments</li>

We&rsquo;d be especially interested in people who have:</p>

<li>exposure to testing <b>AI-enabled functionality</b> within web or enterprise applications</li>
<li>an interest in how AI can improve software quality, automation and engineering efficiency</li>
<li>confidence operating in teams where AI is becoming part of both <b>product capability and internal engineering practice</b></li>
