 Elica Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to a common goal: provide the best possible patient care to our growing community! Our passion extends throughout Elica, from the exceptional healthcare services we provide to our underserved patients at our Community Health Clinics and state-of-the-art mobile medicine program, Health on Wheels, to our Resource Center where we empower patients and members of the community to connect with resources to help them build healthy and full lives.
 
 
 Elica&rsquo;s Dental program includes comprehensive dental services, dental residency program, mobile dental program, and school-based dental program. We employ the latest technology to efficiently and effectively serve our Dental patients. Our state of the art Dental facilities are equipped with panoramic x-rays and digital intraoral scanners to take impressions and engage patients in their oral health care. Our dentists and residents are certified in the use of the 9.3 micron CO2 hard and soft tissue laser, which allows us to perform fillings without the need for local anesthesia. This laser also allows us to provide additional services to our patients such as gingivectomies and crown lengthening without needing to refer to specialists. Our electronic health records system is integrated with our Medical and Integrated Behavioral Health departments to allow us to work together to improve the overall health of our community.
 
 
 
 What You'll Do
 
 
 
 Provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentist(s) and other staff in a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Affect the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional patient interactions, taking x-rays, assisting during patient visits.
 
 
 
 
 Compensation: $25.00 - $31.00
 
 
 
 
 an hour - Dependent Upon Experience
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of CA Dental Practice act course
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of an 8 Hour Infection control course
 </li>
 <li>
 Current BLS certified
 </li>
 <li>
 X-Ray (Radiation safety) certification or successful completion of a radiation safety course that satisfies the requirements outlined by the Dental Board of California.
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of a formal Dental Assisting program preferred

 Must have a current and valid California driver&rsquo;s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.
 </li>
 <li>

 The work environment is characteristic of a medical/dental clinic environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
