Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Writer . The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves accurately diagnosing customer needs, preparing service estimates, and ensuring a seamless communication flow between technicians and clients. Candidates with dealership experience, automotive diagnostics skills, and a strong background in automotive service management will thrive in this position. The Service Advisor / Writer plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction while supporting the dealership&rsquo;s service department operations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet customers professionally and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns</li><li>Write detailed service estimates based on vehicle diagnostics and technician input</li><li>Communicate effectively with customers regarding recommended repairs, costs, and timelines</li><li>Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, alignments, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks &amp; struts, auto body repairs, air brake systems, and other automotive repairs</li><li>Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repair orders and ensure timely completion of services</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of all service work performed and parts used</li><li>Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process</li><li>Manage cash handling transactions and process payments efficiently</li><li>Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques and dealership promotions</li><li>Assist in vehicle inspections and diagnostics to recommend appropriate maintenance or repairs</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior dealership experience is required</li><li>Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures</li><li>Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is essential</li><li>Familiarity with automotive repair specialties including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks &amp; struts, brake repair, air brake systems, and automobile sales is advantageous</li><li>Proven ability to upsell services while maintaining integrity and customer trust</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients</li><li>Previous experience handling cash transactions is a plus</li><li>Automotive technician or mechanic experience can be beneficial for understanding technical aspects of repairs</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: RO100.000 - RO200.000 per monthWork Location: In person
