Their primary goal is to create spaces that are functional, safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing for their clients and the public.Key Responsibilities &amp; DutiesAn architect's work is typically structured around the standard phases of an architectural project:1. Pre-Design (Programming &amp; Feasibility)*Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their needs, objectives, budget, and requirements for the project.Site Analysis: Evaluate the potential and constraints of a building site (e.g., topography, zoning laws, sun path, access).Feasibility Studies: Determine the project's practicality and potential for success.Programming: Define the problem to be solved by creating a detailed list of spaces and their requirements (a &quot;program&quot;).2. Schematic Design (SD)Concept Development: Create initial design sketches, mood boards, and massing models to explore the overall concept and aesthetic of the project.Spatial Planning: Develop rough floor plans, elevations, and site plans to show the basic arrangement of spaces.Client Presentation: Present these preliminary designs to the client for feedback and approval before moving forward.3.
